The Unorthodox Thirty-Six Strategies of Erepublik

Some time ago, I wrote a treatise about strategy in Erepublik. The text was hidden and the link sent to some people from different parts of the world. With the proximity of the v1 and the pause in the wars, I think it's the time to show the book. Some of the strategies are outdated after the changes of the v1, but others can still be used.

The work is based in a the famous book "The Unorthodox Thirty-Six Strategies of Ancient China", with more than two thousand years of age. I have tried to adapt the strategies for Erepublik, and have written a brief story as an example for all of them. It's a vast work that has been done for a month, so I hope you enjoy the result.

The text is divided into six groups: Advantageous Strategies, Opportunistic Strategies, Offensive Strategies, Confusion Strategies, Deception Strategies, and my favorites the Desperate Strategies. Each group has six strategies with their own story and description.

I can't include all the book in this article (each strategy will require a full article), but I'm going to copy the introduction:

"This treatise applies the thirty-six strategies of ancient China to the game Erepublik, and can be used for military, economic or political matters. This strategies must be used wisely in the game, to improve the morale of your own troops, deceive the enemy and eventually achieve your purpose. Remember, caution and patience are your best allies. Each strategy has a short real life story as introduction, and some paragraphs as description of its basics and applications to the game."

Hace algún tiempo, escribí un tratado sobre estrategia en Erepublik. Oculté el texto y envié el enlace a algunas personas de diferentes partes del mundo. Con la proximidad de la v1 y la paralización de las guerras, creo que ha llegado la hora de mostrarlo. Algunas estrategias quedarán desfasadas tras los cambios de la v1, pero otras aun podrán usarse sin problemas.

La obra se basa en el famoso "The Unorthodox Thirty-Six Strategies of Ancient China", con una antigüedad de más de dos mil años. He intentado adaptar las estrategias a Erepublik, y he escrito una breve historia como ejemplo de todas ellas. Es un trabajo enorme que me ha llevado un mes, así que espero que disfrutéis el resultado.

El texto se divide en seis grupos: Ventajosas, Oportunistas, Ofensivas, de Confusión, de Engaño, y mis favoritas, las Desesperadas. Cada grupo tiene seis estrategias con su propia historia y una descripción.

No puedo incluir todo el libro en este artículo (para cada estrategia necesitaría un artículo completo), pero si voy a copiar la introducción (nota, el libro está en inglés):

"Este tratado aplica las treinta y seis estrategias de la antigua China al juego Erepublik, y puede aplicarse en el campo militar, el económico o el político. Estas estrategias deben usarse con cabeza en el juego, para mejorar la moral de tus propias tropas, engañar al enemigo y finalmente lograr tu objetivo. Recuerda, la precaución y la paciencia son tus mejores aliados. Cada estrategia tiene un corta historia de la vida real como introducción, y algunos párrafos como descripción con sus bases y su aplicación al juego."
