~Romania v. Hungary and More~

Day 282, 22:18 Published in USA USA by Benn Dover

As many of you are aware, Romania has [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/politics_proposals-222-war.html]declared war[/a] on Hungary and, thus, many other countries as well.

The countries that are going to be involved are:

Brazil
Italy
France
Spain
Canada
Venezuela
Netherland
Austria
Greece
Japan
Indonesia
Portugal
Iran
and Pakistan

This of course is an extremely large number - well over the population of Romania. By declaring war, Romania actually risks losing land. However, Franco and Archibald have decided to [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-575101.html]send mobile troops[/a] to Romania in order to show support for our Atlantis allies; the UK paratroopers have also been [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-574511.html]mobilized[/a] and I'm sure that other countries, including large ones like Spain and Sweden, are going to either send troops secretly, or pubilcize their military support. This war is the first that could be classified as something close to a "world war" (eWWI), as Hungary is allied with the [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/forum-topic-64951.html]Peace Global Community[/a] - a combination alliance of the Mediterranean Alliance and FIST, built to combat the [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/forum-topic-63202.html]Atlantis treaty[/a].

It seems like Romania does not seek extra citizens, but, rather, a better economy. Everybody knows that a war depletes a country of its supplies, and from the looks of it, Romania could use the vehicle of increased demand, similarly to what Sweden did during their second war on Germany. But what is the price of such a war?

For one, Romania must have spent over 3800 gold in raw assets - that's without counting mercenaries, export funds, and government stockpiling. Aside from the economic costs includes the military and social costs. Any country that goes on the offensive for two wars will probably be ridiculed as a warmongering country, contrary to domestic belief. Countries like Romania and Sweden are not the war-type, but rather the type that knows how to keep their country flowing one way or another. If you want to be a warmonger, go to Pakistan. I'm sure that you'll be mobilized one day or another.

While I, personally am [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-557912.html]not for countries being taken over[/a] , I do, at the same time, support some Romanians (especially the admins - they're pretty cool), even if they are overly-tariffed. If you would like to travel with myself and some other military higherups to Romania, kick some ass, then come back, then PM me. If not, then I'll see you when you get back.
