Congress Are Letting Down Canada - A Petition for Citizens to Enact Change

Day 233, 19:48 Published in Canada Canada by CSD

Canadians, I call upon you now to enable necessary for Canada.

I feel there's some dirty tactics going on within Congress. They have so far blocked every proposal I've made in what I believe is an attempt for them to say coming next election 'you did nothing for Canada!'.

I will detail each proposal they've blocked, and why they shouldn't!

Citizen Fee
We need to keep this citizen fee as low as possible. New citizens to the game can be one of three things;

1. A Multi-Account
2. Someone who only plays the game once, then decides it's not for them
3. Someone who goes on to be play the game (ie work, join a political party, be a soldider, own a newspaper).

In June 2008, we had 169 New Citizens (that's not including the banned multi accounts). As you're aware, at the beginning of June the Citizen Fee was 80 CAD. But for arguement sake, let's say for the whole month the fee was 25 CAD.

169 New Citizens @ 25 CAD = 4225
169 New Citizens @ 10 CAD = 1690

That's a HUGE difference, a saving of 2535 CAD.

Now, the The Commitment Bonus is a policy that will take immediate effect if Congress passes the Citizen Fee to 10 CAD.

The Commitment Bonus means only multi-accounters & people who don't play the game past the first time only 10 CAD. Anyone interested in finding a job will then recieve an additional 15 CAD.

So, nothing really changes. Committed players to the game still get 25 CAD, but multi-accounters & 1-time players only get 10 CAD.

Congress believes 10 CAD is too low. Yet what does a new citizen need? Food.

10 CAD would buy at current market prices..

45 Imported Q1 Food
18 Canadian Q3 Food

18 Days worth of Q3 Food! Think long and hard about 18 days of umemployment - it's literally impossible, considering companies are ALWAYS looking for new workers.

Import Taxes on Food & Gifts

The current tax of 50% was passed on May 26, 2008. This was before we experience the colossal amount of Imports flooding our markets at rediculously low prices.

My proposal is to have the Import Taxes at 99%. Why? Because 99% will not scare off foreign imports. Here's proof:

WarezTuga Food WareHouse
Q1 Food
Portugal
Price before Tax: 0.15 CAD
Market Price @ 50% Tariff: 0.22 CAD
Market Price @ 99% Tariff: 0.30 CAD
Sold This Month: 480

.:RaG Foo😨.
Q1 Food
Romania
Price before Tax: 0.21 CAD
Market Price @ 50% Tariff: 0.21 CAD
Market Price @ 99% Tariff: 0.42 CAD
Sold This Month: 80
Q3 Queues de Castor: 71
Yellowknife Foo😛 136
Tim Hortons: 31
Soul Kitchen: 6
Canadian Wheat Boar😛 Currently producing 15 per day, so 4 per day are allocated to the Market.

So @ 0.30 & 0.42, these foreign imports are still good value for money!

As for the Gift Industry, we have 4 Q2 Companies, many of which have massive surplus stock, Gift of The Gab have 150+ alone.

Conclusion
I can't help but think, if Adam Sutler were to make these proposals, we'd barely even get a "No" when they're proposed. These actions speak too loudly.

Canada, we NEED these changes. Sign the petition to pressure these Congressmen into thinking about the good of the country, instead of playing dirty politics.
