Should I raise my prices so there could be more competiton for me ? I think its a market based economy. My Employees are happy, Yellowknife Housing,Gifts,Food, and Moving are surviving its a win win situation. Why should I be concered about a few GM ?

You\'re under scrutiny? I know you\'ve been acknowledged as the person monopolizing the housing industry once or twice, but I\'m not sure if that\'s scrutiny.
With that being said i am calling for a Session on the forums about Regulating Canada\'s Companies, strictly the Housing and food Companies.
you straight up forced me out of the market when i had my company i even upgraded to q3 so we wouldnt be the same you then upgraded and under cut my price by 100 CAD i couldnt make enough with that price so i sold my company i later looked at the market and you were selling your house at the price i origanly tried to sell mine at frankly i dont blame you with this kind of econ thats what your supposed to do thats why i support a mostly government run econ
Me and BB talked, and I completely agree with what he said above. These are not opinions, they are cold hard facts. The monopoly of kommie is outrageous and should be not legal, reminds me of \"wallmart\" in real life.
*correction to my comment above: the 23 employees represent 6% of our country\'s population, not 17%.
However it should be noted that most of the 396 citizens in eCanada are inactive, so in reality, those 23 employees count for much more than their percentage figure, they are important citizens because they show up to work everyday and contribute to this economy.

Kommie pay ous good wages! Can\'t complain
//Tinnerholm
The solution is to steal employees from kommie.
VERY well said Althalus.
Oh, and I think BB is more than settled into the Trade position 😃 Excellent comments.
If you don\'t like it, go to russia.
If I may slip it in, the gifts industry completely died when you stepped in. Of course, we didn\'t already have enough q2 gift companies, right? 🙂
Business is business.
You look like never see the problem , the problem is kommie make a monopole , and in real canada , monopole are illegal.., Curely , kommie have concurents , he put his Q3 house at 208 CAD , because he have workers thet have lots of skill and a good wellness , he make profit on it... , when we will dead , he will not have concurent anymore , do you really think his house will stay at 208 CAD ?? Absolutly NO , that\'s garented , he will increse this price , 250 CAD , 300 CAD , 350 CAD , 400 CAD , 1000 CAD , nobody know but when there is a monopole (one compagny in a industry) , generaly , the price of things are over then supposed ...
PS: a house curely cost me 193 CAD to build....
@Athalus & Cottus Arci - no, thats not the solution, its not even close to being one. Kommie pays them good salaries (no argument there), an average of $12/day per worker. I couldn\'t even afford to pay half of that (again, thanks to Kommie).
Furthermore, he is incredibly wealthy. He could *always* offer more, and as a matter of fact, actually \'stole\' one of my employees today.
@Tony Stark - you make an almost valid argument, and did so in a respectful manner, that is appreciated. However, please understand that I did not ask to be made Minister of Trade. It was a duty assigned to me by our president Cottus Arci, and I will not let him down.
As Minister of Trade, my duty is mainly to watch over all industry sectors and deal with unfair market conditions. I think anyone would agree that currently, the housing market is such a market. Of course there are problems in other markets as well (e.g. the food industry), but they are nowhere near as serious as the ones that new Canadian Housing Companies are facing today, and thats why action must be taken.
To clarify - Just because I own a housing company does not mean that I will abuse my position to procure government favors, doing that would be unethical and for the recor😛 I have no such plans. As a matter of fact, being in the position that I am in, gives me a unique way to look at the problems facing this particular industry through first hand experience.
Lastly, you\'ll notice that my comment above addressing the situation consists not of opinions, but facts, and that is what I must stick to in order to do my job. And let it be said that when I do my job, I represent the interests of all companies facing this problem, not just my own.
BB
tony stark\'s solution to the immediate problem is an economists dream come true.
the solution of using a government supplied interest free loan to buy a export license then lobby for free\'er trade (less import taxes) and voila, everybody wins. in fact i believe that was the exact solution i pm\'d you with earlier in the week bb.
hope this all works out.
as for the \"conflict of interest\" comment, i think that if bb is doing a good job (which i believe he is) then his position as a gm should not matter. i dont think we have enough regular dedicated ecanadian citizens to be too choosy who is in public office.
@ BB: \"As Minister of Trade, my duty is mainly to watch over all industry sectors and deal with unfair market conditions.\"
Yes, but you being Minister of Trade creates an unfair market condition, as you are expected to access and modify the market. I am not implying that you will do such things for your own personal benefit, but that the potential exists for you to do so consciously or unconsciously. You should be a Cabinet Minister, just not the Minister for Trade while you yourself have a company which has a vested interest in your investigation of Kommie.
@ DAH81: thank you. about a month back I read an article by Sutler suggesting that eCanada focus itself upon high quality goods to be set up in our marketplace, while our low quality companies should instead place their focus on foreign markets. If the domestic marketplace cannot sustain more companies, then that is a sign that the domestic marketplace does not need more companies. Generally what companies do when they cannot compete in one sector is either die out, or find a new sector. It\'s time for our housing companies to make the choice, and hopefully their choice will be the latter. All we need is one competing company to keep Kommie on his toes; not a governmental bitch-slap which discourages our GM\'s from becoming successful. When did it become a Canadian value to punish those who have succeeded?
*Sips a brandy*
\"When did it become a Canadian value to punish those who have succeeded?\"
google \"winnipeg general strike\"
So long as there are other companies, kommie doesn\'t really have a monopoly.(Microsoft vs. Netscape anyone?) However, based on the information in this thread, he is guilty of using wealth to manipulate the market and push other companies to the brink of bankruptcy. What\'s occurring is a form of price fixing that, in the real world, is illegal and regulated. In eCanada we have no such regulations, and as such are a very pure capitalist economy where this kind of thing is perfectly normal.
It has been proven time and time again, that pure capitalist economies don\'t work in practice because people are power hungry, and don\'t play well with others. In the past the only governments to manage to implement pure capitalistic economies are dictatorships, the democratic societies knew right from the get go that to implement the required policies would enrage their constituents and have them removed from office post haste.
You killed French market.
