A new country in Erepublik

Today [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/country-61.html]Slovenia[/a] became the newest country in Erepublik. We have received many suggestions regarding this subject and we have decided that this is the right moment to add [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/country-61.html]Slovenia[/a]
The new country will be divided in six regions (Upper Carniola, Styria and Carinthia, Prekmurje, Inner Carniola, Lower Carniola, Slovenian Littoral ) with the capital city in Ljubljana.
In order to help [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/country-61.html]Slovenia[/a] reach a reasonable level of development, no wars will be able to start against it for the next 30 days (until 10th of July). If one of the neighboring countries decides to declare war to [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/country-61.html]Slovenia[/a] the proposal will be canceled. Also, the Slovenian first President (which will be elected on the 1st of July) will not be able to propose war to other countries until the 10th of July.
Other countries will be added constantly in Erepublik considering the traffic sources. From all the countries that are not in Erepublik, [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/country-61.html]Slovenia[/a] had the most visits.

the creation of slovenia doesn\'t do anything for the few hundred slovenians in the game, because noone can move their company in there, so we would need to abandon all companies and start from 0, even though we are in the game since the start of april, and are probably by far the most active community in the game (relative to the countries population)

I do not plan on doing this but may I suggest that you allow Congressmen to resign and move to another country so that when you do do things like add another country congressmen from other countries can move their and help start up the economy and political structure? Without them being able to resign they can not hope to become a congressman in the new country until August since they will not be able to move until after the July general elections.
Good news, although I prefered Slovakian Republic. Good luck to the new country, and be careful with Italy and France, 😉

Thanks to everybody or the good wishes and my apology to Austrian people for overrunning them like that as we didn\'t have our own country.
anyway, Slovenia just missed the chance for the presidential elections and won\'t see them for 3 more weeks. It would be very much apreciated if admins could make an exception regarding the presidential elections, since there won\'t be many chances to turn things around as easily from 1st to 10th of july - either regarding the alliances or taking care of the economy.
I hope troubles we\'ll witness in our economy and inability of electing a president for that long won\'t cause eSlovenia easily being conquered, not being given an equal chance to make things work within it\'s borders as other countries have.
and of course: thanks to the admins for creating eSlovenia.
Congrats Slovenia... Lithuanians will watch you closely and learn from your mistakes (= Hope some day we`ll get country as well.

This blocks the countries developement for 20 days.
That is the main problem, there is no currency (very little of it) import taxes are very low, rape from foreign companies, no chances of setting up MPPs.
Is this country just gonna sit around until the presidential elections or what?
So the country will have actually 10 days to defend itself, sign MPP\'s, raise import taxes, print money,..., with 2 presidential actions per day this doesn\'t sound good
the other great problem is the transfer of slovenian owned companies from austria to slovenia, i know that some talks are going on. But we need answers.
also, slovenian congressmen that are currently in the congress of austria, will be blocked from political participation in slovenia for almost 2 months, as someone pointed out before. (they will only be able to move at the end of the month, and wouldn\'t be able to participate in the elections on the 1st of July, as they will only be able to move on the 2nd of July)
This implementation was done very very poorly

Well well ... creating Slovenia sure is nice, but what is the point if it is paralized? The most active people are in Austrian congress and are inable to move, almost no money ... i dont want to see it conquered on july 10th 😒 ... and i think i will reather wait for Croatia in this case ..

as Dejan pointed out the whole country is paralised, only thing that can save us for a short period is advertising this game once again over various forums so that new users bring their citizen fee in the economy along... and that smells like people that use multiaccounting will be gaining the most in this case...
