Appleby Fired! | TUP News about congress Order
Gavin C. Mister
Prime Minister Sir Humphrey Appleby of the UKRP was released today, most likely for comments he has made with and to members of The Spamican party inspiring 2 articles about his behavior and now a major firing with the Prime Minister Seat now open. foreign Affairs Minister AMD has also resigned due to Huey's failure to hold SHA accountable for his words, despite SHA being fired, AMD has decided to go out anyways. The 10 released this Briefing just today with a statement from the president reading "I have acted indecisively and struggled to find a path through this... I will increase my efforts and activity as Country President". In my opinion this mishap will only lead to more votes for the Spam party in the upcoming Congress and for AMD in the CP election next month. We do not know who will replace SHA and AMD but what I can say is the Huey George is currently Working Hard to find them.
In A Decision made by party leaders the TUP has agreed to let Bay Jee be elected via the TUP Congress list to represent the Pirate Cat Party in Congress for the upcoming term. This decision was made in order to give the PCP any representation they could since they are not within the top 5 party threshold needed to be on the ballot for congress elections. Our Party President has made it clear that this does not mean a party merger will happen at all and that a lack of similar interest would stop anything more than this happening

Let us all learn from this chapter in eRep history.
The lessons are:
1. Do not mix alcohol and eRep on a Friday night.
2. If caught in an embarrassing situation, do attempt to apologise with an air of sincerity
3. If it all gets too much - take a break for a few months and then re-engage gently - time is a great healer.
4. Don't excuse the inexcusable !
Bay Jee represents himself and not the PCP. After the vote you can keep him.
agreed.

AMD : "I am resigning due to Huey's failure to pull SHA to account"
RFK: "No idea why AMD resigned despite telling us, so we'll assume it is down to selfish ambition"
(Repost)
Why would I assume AMD is resigning for selfish ambition? Do I have anything against him? No. Did I just fail to read one article? Yes
Hmmm... I think someone just edited his article 😃
For everyone else, the original article had a line that was basically "AMD didn't give a reason but seems likely he resigned so that he wouldn't be tarnished when he presumably will stand against Huey for CP next month". That is a little bit of a paraphrase as I didn't didn't take a screenshot as I wasn't expecting RFK to edit his article.
Also, "despite SHA being fired, AMD has decided to go out anyways" is incorrect. AMD posted his article stating his resignation prior to Huey then later coming out to say SHA was fired. RFK's wording makes it sound like Huey acted and then AMD reacted and childlishly rsigned anyway.
there are two type of people in this world, there are ones who write, and ones who criticize my writings
Which one do you want to be?
There are two types of people in this world - people who stand up and defend their opinions and ones who change their article and then try to gaslight people by claiming they never wrote anything in the first place.
Which one is you? Oh, I think I know the answer.
oh no I'm the first option since I'm perfectly fine admitting I edited the article so people wouldn't be misinformed, also you have an option here; post another snotty comment or leave this as it is.
Also "Gaslight" I'm sorry when did I lie about changing it? all I did was edit the article so it would admit truthful information I don't have a problem with admitting I made a mistake... Unlike other people
It is only your last comment have you actually admitted to making changes to the article. Prior to this point you have acted confused when I mention changes that had been made.
Re: "Also "Gaslight" I'm sorry when did I lie about changing it?"
The accusation of gaslighting is the fact you originally suggested AMD resigning was down to political ambition. You then changed it and responded with
"Why would I assume AMD is resigning for selfish ambition?"
The "lie" comes from that you publically acted all confused as to why I would mention the accusation of political ambition when you know for well you suggested it and was forced to delete when I referenced it. For anyone who didn't see the original comment, they would take from your question that I somehow misunderstand your article as I was referring to something that clearly (now) wasn't in the article (due to being deleted).
While you have now admitted to making changes to the article, you haven't actually admited you amended the suggestion that AMD was politically motivated in his resignation.
Your comment of "all I did was edit the article so it would admit truthful information" is simply referencing to your last edit after I pointed out AMD resigned before SHA was fired.
The dumb thing is, after my initial comment, you could could have simply responded with "oh yeah, I hadn't read AMD's full article. Article updated" and left it there. You are obviously pro-Huey and your articles will have that slant. Whatever. It is the fact you made the change and then tried to cover up the fact you had made the comments.
people make mistakes and they fix them when they find out - no problem with the article
nothing wrong with updating the article RFK - its right to try and adjust it to make it more accurate (and I would suggest that you might need another edit as the current wording suggests AMD went after SHA rather than before, but hey ho)
I would suggest that you follow the lead of the paper that your trying to emulate by putting a small disclaimer down the bottom. In this case it would be something like:
Disclaimer: An earlier published version of this article read "blah blah blah, AMD, blah" but was corrected to read "different blah blah blah, AMD, blah"
Mistakes happen - and as you grow your paper more will happen - and thats ok. Transparency over you doing the right thing and fixing them will just keep everyone playing nicely 😃
Cabinet now down to three. Recruit mechanism now running.
Amazing turn of events.
v + c
Yeah just for the clarification the order of events was me resigning, and then Appleby was fired!
Good stuff RFK!
good article again and voted
