[CP] Is it time for a real war?
Nihon no Koe
Good evening friends,
After a long period of waiting to get a response from our MU commanders, my cabinet and I decided to launch an Air Strike and start a new adventure by going into a real WAR!
However, I won't do it unless we have support because I want to go to a war that we can actually win.
Just to keep things more private I will start a debate on the government wall, and I urge everyone to share their opinion.
PLEASE DO NOT SHARE ANY INFO IN THE COMMENTS BELLOW, WRITE ON THE WALL.
Regarding our situation in the world, as you have noticed we have started a new TW with Moldova, however, we lost the one with Lithuania.

Ya brah, I'm down for the plunder.

I vote no.
eJapan to me is not an aggressor, we are neutral. Our neutrality has many benefits. If we were to break that neutrality, I would hope it would be for a proper reason, not war for the sake of it. At the end of the day I'm proud of being in a honorable country, and losing that status is not something I will support.
good luck
I would have to agree with Oraizan. I dont think that Japan should start a war for something as trivial as a want for battle. It should be for something so egregious that normal diplomacy cant correct it. Training wars are a useful tool for nations to have so if that makes more sense to have then by all means have a training war, not a full blown war.
Šo bi Daršu reko"Gud lak"!
We can surely start a war, but is it really worth it to attack whoever? I don't think so. War is a last resort to solve a conflict that can't be solved by words anymore.
Besides, I am not sure if every Japanese is even willing to participate. Given the low response so far, I don't think that many are interested.
I will support this plan if you have the majority of Japanese behind you, until that point, I vote NO.
I don't think this is a good idea.
Only 11 people voted, it's simply not enough.

eJapan would not go to war even if there was a good reason but I commend you for even entertaining the idea.
b/c we're pussies ha
I would not use a gender specific/sexist term to define the reasons 🙂
It is indeed a cat loving eCountry though if we had to gauge it from the more active members of the community
bots?
that is a gender neutral term if you ask me
I think the term has grown to be a descriptor rather than a gender based thing. That being said its not the descriptor that should be used.
Judging by the lack of enthusiasm from our own player base, I would say that I have to agree with Oraizan and the others. Why conduct actual warfare? What purpose does it serve? Does it grow our community?
In the future I believe that these questions are important when thinking about the direction of eJapan and our community. Who do we want to be and why do we want to be that?
Yes, it is exactly that 'lack of enthusiasm' for, pretty much anything, that is the problem.
Not 'wars' which haven't even started ( yet or may never will ). Before i answer further in regards to 'the others'.
You asked about 'purpose' and does it 'grow our community'.
You would think about purpose if you actually checked the 'country's wall' and post by our CP and his comment there. But most likely you haven't. Moving on.
Which 'community grows' exactly? If any players are coming, they are either 'multis' or here to 'die'. Community grows by inviting players into game first, then it requires dedication, time and actually will to play the game, not posting comment once in 'blue moon'
If a Japan's 'destiny' will be decided by players who log few times a month, rarely even 'fight' and 'do things', and spend more time, then it's no wonder why 'community' isn't growing.
At least those who log in at all, don't forget to 'vote' when 'it's time' and certain other things, like this.
Yeah, 'who do we want to be'? Far away from the game, as far as possible, and then the audacity to 'demand & lecture', to 'question morality' of players who actually play that which is the game.
'Actual warfare...oh, no...is someone gonna die?!'
One of bigger chats, with Japan's players, is mostly silent...yeah, wonder why...what's going on, is someone doing anything, plans, communicate, etc...Nope.
Our discord is fairly active, but we don't discuss eJapan really. 😶
A huge issue in my 6 months was getting people to participate, and if they did it would happen for 2 weeks and they'd disappear or quit. You didn't want to participate 6 months ago either. But activity is a separate issue that is really difficult to change.
Participate - if you mean by that to be in the Gov, then yeah, you might say that i was 'quite inactive' in that regard.
But i did play, fight, and was active, i would say more then 95% players from our community. If 'something imporant' was happening, i would be aware of it, and take interest asap to see what's up.
Should i remind everyone what happened at the beginning of the month? It wasn't 6 months or 6 yrs ago.
That is exactly what you get, when you leave it to the 'others in the community'...
You get 'Hugos' to be CP's...that's the s*it i am talking about.
Talks about, not wars, or should i say, 'AcTuAl WaRfArE', and suddenly, 'zombies are moving', screaming, demanding, 'calling shots', 'big words & important questions' are being thrown around and raised...
I was 'silent', and some still are, for too damn long...
Some, that just look active, aren't even bothered to share an article or two...99% have 'no habit', but it's not that, other things are at play here...they get cramps in their hands...poor things...
I don't disagree with you. Many people that have commented get JUDO weekly, so they do the bare minimum at least. I won't say all.. it's 25-30 people on average. Just less zombies than you make it sound. But if you ask for opinions you'll get zombie and non-zombies.
Even I'm less active than I was, since I don't have any responsibilities.. but its comparing vs being CP and logging in 100x a day, on demand to click buttons..
I have a different opinion about why Hugo was elected though. Separate issue..
Maybe you should publish why you want war, instead of asking for opinions. Then you can debate and hold a vote. I won't see your point of view unless you speak it. I said no and why so that my view point was clear. I don't see anything regarding going to war except to not be a pussy and some resources.. which isn't really motivating for me. I understand that a few people are passionate about it, but they're not saying why.. Maybe that means the reason's not really there? Maybe that's why it seems so one sided? Why are zombies saying more? Maybe we all need to be less 'silent.' Maybe my view is wrong, but I don't see much in favor of war.. so many maybes.. 😶
Not holding an office doesn't prevent you to be active in all other aspects as well as responsible. It might be said that it all boils down to 'what kind/type of player you are'.
Those who are not zombies, have their 'style' of play, whatever it is. It is what it is.
We aren't 'thriving community' as well, it's obvious, i don't like pretending it's 'prettier' then it is.
Recently we looked at where we are with treasury/funds. And it's ugly asf. Up until some time, i had more resources then Japan itself. Not a joke.
All this bs, inactivity, it 'costs' us dearly. It makes us 'easy target'. That activity ( fighting, farming, medals etc ) is important. It goes to budget. Working/producing etc.
None of those aren't contributing whatsoever. It requires basic 10 min activity daily. Do what you have to, log in, train, work, fight, go for a medal. All those 20-30 you've mentioned...
We would be infinitely in a better position, but...if only those 'wars' aren't discussed, i guess all is 'fine & dandy'.
Those wars are waiting on us, regardless, but i guess it's fine to lose while defending, it's so 'honorable'.
So even if you say - 'all the more reason not to go to war', it won't change what 'damage' we are enduring by this attitude and behavior.
Perhaps, turning point was when i notified CP that there might be 'Resource wars' event in the near future, and it might be all for nothing and draining what 'little' we have only to lose it because things in the game changed.
Also, obtaining resources, and then thinking, for whom exactly? For those not bothered to log in daily? For obscure accounts and zombies...?
'Being a pussy'...how about they log in more often. It might be 'scary' for awhile, but i'm sure they can conquer that fear by confronting it directly, there's an idea!
Motivation...playing a game? Ok. That's it then. Caring about 'community' is doing anything that benefits it. How about that? That includes war(s), and all other things i mentioned above. You want to 'defend'? Why? What is your 'motivation' for wanting that?
Wars are 'sending' a message, and it's not 'we aren't pussies'. It means 'health & wealth' of that community, which might attract others to be 'part of something', etc. Otherwise we might end up like some other countries, because we are so 'damn good' doing just that - nothing.
PS. Hugo is peculiar case, for sure, fishy one but it's not just that, it's telling about where we are at as well in certain way.
Not being gov or PP certainly does mean that I have no responsibilities, I'm not in a position where it's my job to complete tasks. All I said was I'm less active comparatively.
Maybe you're a bit too emotional to clearly explain your points, since you're just commenting on everything I say instead of giving me the reason why you want this. I explained my motivation clearly for why I prefer to not be an aggressor, if you disagree with it that's OK. You asked for opinions, you should be open to them and show your reasons not just refute.
Emotional?
I pointed out all the reasons, for war(s) and overall activity, and why that should be done, why it is obligation etc, 'motivation' as you called it and 'because game mechanics' and it's almost as if you haven't even read what i wrote...
Re-read recommended, slowly word for word...
And not just that...it's this - 'what will international community say about this'...Same as in RL, i hate everytime someone says it, or thinks this way. Just like i hate 'international community' or the 'small minded', what will 'they' say...'i don't want to be seen ( in a game ) as aggressor'...
In the meantime 'they', out there, are doing whatever they need for their causes/goals/ideas...
Some from 'our community' also were spending their time for goals of others...which is probably many times more then what they did here for Japan...it's all 'fake & gay'...just like when some fought against Japan, with their funny dmg, but nonetheless...
Are you f-ing joking me...
If i wanted to play some 'work as a manager simulator' i wouldn't be here at all, would i...
It's something i said to some other players here, many really have to ask themselves what exactly are they doing here or 'playing' for that matter...what are their 'motivations', really?
Whatever they are, they could be doing it 'somewhere' else, and nothing would change, that's the extend their 'playing' has on game/Japan etc.
It's not like I didn't read it, I just see you questioning and commenting my words that you disagree. The only thing new I see is some health and wealth of the community which I don't personally understand the benefit from what you wrote. Starting war for the sake of it will just attract more people with this mindset, maybe temporarily. I don't care about what the international community thinks of me, but I have great pride in all the work past CP's have done to create this persona Japan has.
Typically not being big on war led to contributing to the community in other ways. That's how we have events like Empress Day.. back when we were too small for any war, and before training wars. Just because you don't like that idea doesn't make it any less valid of a way to play eRep. Just as your ideal is Valid even if I don't practice it myself. Not seeing someone else's point of view makes you small minded, which you hate. Maybe you mean something else. If you don't care about these people why did we bother asking for opinions.
I can't speak for people attacking against Japan.. it's happened many times over the years.. not sure which time you're referring to. Even if you don't support a decision, the only time you should hit against us is for the TW medal.. that's as dishonorable as it gets. "I don't agree so f.ck them" Indeed I would ask also why are you here..
Its a really good idea to post an article about WHY you want this broken down, without complaining about other people playing differently, like I said before. If you state all the reasons why, people like me who are open minded could change their mind and see your point of view. Telling people they're 'fake,' 'gay,' or 'small minded' as a reason they're wrong however.. not constructive. You're generally a really great writer and your articles are always fantastic so it would have the biggest impact. IMHO
I say emotional because of your wording and use of apostrophe's. Maybe it's a language barrier.. my English is pretty good but it's not my first language either. 😶
I have been waiting to see all comments then to write something. My opinion and vote is for starting War, even if is for resources, maybe we shake it little bit our community, we don't need to attack some big country or alliance. Launch AS on someone far away, if we loose or win we know on what are we, if they launch on us, we will defend, but maybe we can move with this attack 3, 4 players to be more active, and that is good enough. For Hugo, still don't know who vote, but that is bcz nobody write 5min article. And we get what we get.
