Yet another Production Calculator

Day 5,572, 13:14 Published in Lithuania Lithuania by driver sti

We all know that the Economy module is rather dead than alive. Nevertheless, I decided to calculate how profitable my companies could be today. I was stunned to see that producing FRM myself was much more unprofitable than buying it on the market. And this is despite the fact that the resources themselves are more expensive(!) than the products of their processing.
Since I have companies only for food and weapons production, I did not take into account other companies. Perhaps I will add support for other companies if there is a big request from you.

So, let me explain a bit about how my calculator works. For now, it only supports a few countries and regions in which I have (or had, or for test purposes only) production. I tried to automate the process of filling the table with data as much as possible. All you have to do is fill in the cells on the blue background.

On the first sheet - Setup - you need to enter a minimum of data.

- (Optional) enter the price of gold (to calculate the value of companies in the game currency, calculate the break-even period, and possibly something more in the future)

- select the country and region where the companies for the production of food and weapons are located.

Please note! I assume that the production of resources and products is located in the same region.

All taxes, bonuses, and average wages will be automatically pulled from the game.

Please note! When choosing a region, you may need to edit the formula a bit. Carefully read the comment to the cell to know what you need to change to properly pull the data. And in general, read the comments 🙂

The second sheet - Production - is to be filled in:
- number of companies (FRM - G5:G9, Food - H17:H23, WRM - G32:G36, Weapons - H44:H50)

- fill in the cost of resources and goods (FRM - J5, Food - L17: L23, WRM - J32, Weapons - L44: L50)

That's it!

Now I'll explain the results of the calculations a bit.

- H10, H37 - the amount of resources you produce (FRM and WRM, respectively).

- I10, K24, I37, K51 - the amount of taxes you pay after working at all companies.

- J5, J32 - the cost of resources (FRM and WRM, respectively) on the market. Since prices change frequently, you need to make sure that you update them in the calculator in a timely manner to get the most up-to-date data.

- L17: L23, L44: L50 - the same for food and weapons.

- Net Profit - shows the net profit that you will receive from the sale of raw materials or goods after paying all taxes and at the price you specified. If the cell is highlighted in red, the production is unprofitable. Note that for food and weapons, there are two types of net profit - when you produce your own raw materials and when you buy them on the market. To make it clearer, I've highlighted under what condition it is more profitable to produce goods - buying resources on the market or producing them yourself.

- L5: L9, L32: L36 is the minimum market price at which the production of resources in a company of a certain quality will be equal to the cost. That is, you will break even.

- Payback (days) - will be added in the future. Maybe. This is where we need the gold price.

Also, to the right of the resource tables, I added a note that appears if any of your resource companies is unprofitable. Thus, you will immediately see which companies you should get rid of.

Brief summary.

As you can see for yourself, producing food from your own raw materials (at the current price of the latter) will bring in much less profit than buying it on the market. The production of FRM is absolutely unprofitable. The situation with weapons is the opposite. It is much more profitable to produce the resources for tank production yourself.

The calculator may contain bugs. I kindly ask you to report them in the comments to the original file, in-game messages, here in the comments, or in Telegram. Also, let me know if you need to add more countries and regions where your production is placed.

Bottom line. To start using the Production Calculator, you need to make a copy of it. The original file is not editable. Periodically check for updates (Changelog tab and calculator version), as they will definitely be based on feedback.
