[Politique] Nebula: an insight on the Alliance [ENG]

Day 5,207, 12:35 Published in France France by Citoyen Vigneron

Understanding the eworld is not easy at all. There is a huge amount of things that you don't understand and new questions ready to show up.
Now that i have learned the basics of my daily routine, I decided to try understanding the international situation.
I thought that know something more about the Alliances should be a right first step.

While waiting to be introduced, I was letting my mind wondering free. If I consider, I'm still amazed by how fast has been the communication with His Office. I contacted one of his collaborators only few days ago and now me, (last of the citizens, newborn noob, journalist of a small village newspaper) I'm here waiting to interview both a Country President than an Alliance Leader... I almost feel out of place here, I almost afraid of making him loosing time that he could spend on important issues...

Waiting time is short. I'm introduced without ceremonies to his office. It's quite smaller than I expected, with a big window taking an entire wall; the place is magnificent in its semplicity and functionality. There is also a warm fireplace, with two armchairs in front of it. One of them is occupied.

As soon as I step in, he stands up and gently takes my hand while smiling. I can't even start ask forgiveness for my interruption of his important duties that he greets me and welcomes me in the Alps. His happiness seems real and few minutes later is confirmed by its words:

Welcome to Wien, I hope your trip has been easy! Please let me properly introduce myself. As you surely know, my name is Prince of Austria, and believe it or not I'm just a regular citizen.
I've been deeply involved in eRepublik everyday life (a bit more in the past than now), being somewhat a protector of Austria and currently leader of Nebula. Like I said, as an individual I don't feel myself different than other people because without the help of all the people that helped me through my journey, I surely wouldn't be there where I'm standing right now. So I have to thank everyone who helped me on this amazing journey. My collaborator said me that you want to make me some questions about Nebula... Please, feel free to ask!

Thank you very much for your welcone, Mr. President. Can you shortly introduce Nebula to the readers?

Nebula was founded on Day 2671 and is one of the oldest alliances still alive. As our Chart says:
"With a mutual understanding of the hardships in regards to the struggling eNations, Nebula is committed to the organization, prosperity of member nations, and primarily defence against foreign invaders".
Historically our Alliance is entwined with major alliances back in the days, with ONE (or NWO - New World Order 2012) being one of them. Smaller alliances were created for the smaller communities in order to fight alongside their big brothers. Somewhere along the path, the whole perspective of alliances changed and currently they don't function as they did 10 years ago.

Let me better understand... On which pillars Nebula was founded? Can we consider them still the same?

Nebula was made for smaller countries that couldn't find their path. They couldn't defend themselves and they couldn't find any Training War partner.
So I'd say that Nebula still stands on the same pillars that it was founded on - helping each other achieve more and develop our countries as best as we can. I might add that this section of our charter WAS and always WILL be the same. That's why Nebula survived for so long in the eworld.

Trying to resume...Nebula is now composed by nations from the hearth of Europe. I said "now" because once also Mexico was part of your Alliance...is it right?

Our alliance has 4 member nations: Switzerland, Belarus, Czech Republic and Austria.
All of them have great histories, most of which connected in one way or another between each other. As a representative of Austria I must say that we had the chance to work with every member of Nebula, we still respect each other and we trust each other, and that's what keeps us going forward. That's what gives the security to continue with one country's actions.
Mexico was briefly in Nebula but some months ago they decided to leave and follow a different path. We still support them and wish them luck in their journey. But as I said, Nebula is currently only in Europe and that being said it's pretty easy to have common goals. One of which is to always make sure that our members' stability, security and integrity remains untouched.

Trying to focus on Nebula's last years, can you mention three conquests (not forcefully military but also political or logistic or about welfare and so on) and three defeats for the Alliance?

Every alliance has ups and downs. I can mention some of the victories and accomplishments we've had over the years. We've had many invaders over the years and one of the biggest accomplishments for us is that we've always managed to talk and fix the situation. Our diplomatic body is amazing! Another accomplishment for example is all those common hits and tournaments we've had inside of our alliance. Sticking together is the only sure way to secure our integrity.

We've already talked a lot but we still miss one point:why the name Nebula was chosen? Can you say us also something about your super cool Logo?

When Nebula was formed it was closely associated with Asteria alliance so it was on that "starry" night that the "universe" opened up and made us the alliance we are today 😊
The logo was designed by a friend of mine in Great Britain, Rory Winterbourne II. It represents our 4 countries connected as one. It immediately gives to the other the idea of the strong connection between our nations.

Coming from France, can I ask you an opinion about my nation?

We are an openly neutral aligned alliance so we try to make friends everyday. Some of our member nations had training wars with France and overall it was a positive experience. Whenever there is mutual respect - there are good relations.

Few worlds but that say a lot! More in general, instead, how do you see the actual condition of Europe? Do you have any prevision about its future?

Personally I've been here for a long time. Countries change, governments change, people change. But one thing is certain. No one ever knows what is going to happen and which "colour" will fill out most of Europe. But that's what makes the game interesting for everyone.

I think that your answers will be very useful for many people around the world. Before closing the interview, I'm quite sure that you have also some people to thanks...

You are right. I want to thank you for the interview. I was honored to answer your questions concerning Nebula and give a better picture to the world about who we are and what we do.
A big thank you goes to everyone in Switzerland, Belarus, Czech Republic and Austria, their respective representatives and everybody reading this article.
Everyone who's been supporting us for all these years, all of our friends who still believe in us. Long live Nebula!

Thank you to you Mr. President! Good luck for everything and "Ad maiora".

Leaving the Office, It's now like leaving the home of an old friend. An hour with Prince of Austria has been something more like spending time with a nice person knowed from an entire life than being in front of a powerful leader of men and nations.
I need to think about a new interview as an excuse to meet that gentle guy again... 😂😜
