The Final Phase - Rough Riders

The end game is upon us. There is no doubt in this. The only question remaining is how long will it last. I’ve been in the Federalist leadership for the past 1-2 years but it’s time to do something different and pursue a new goal. In my time as a USWP PP a long time ago and founding the Bull Moose Party even longer ago, I've learned one main thing, that I return to and enjoy playing with people I want to play with. I have friends in many parties and I would simply rather play with them and enjoy the final ride here. The loyalty to parties has some sunk cost fallacy to it. Every single person I played seriously with long ago is gone. My loyalty is to those that I enjoy playing with and that’s why we are starting something new.

The ROUGH RIDERS are here as a new political party in the eUS.

This is the end game for our crew. What we want:

Play with those who are living in the present world of eRepublik with current goals and an international and military perspective.
Enjoy a single member only discord channel without layers of rooms and extra meta where anyone in the party can see it all.
Focus on supporting our members with supplies and constant military directions to support Asteria and our CP (whoever it is)
No two clickers here. We want active players that fight and/or are economic producers.

So…why not just join another small party?
We don’t want to PTO a historic party who clearly wants to remain in its current form.
So…why not just work within one of the T5 parties?

Too many seem stuck in a loyalty to parties/organizations that are shells of what they were with the major players long gone. A party with only active members, no bots, and no two clickers who haven’t done anything outside of two clicks in 5 years is what we are hoping for.

So why did Thee Dude join?
"I needed a change of scenery. I love the WTP. Always will. But I felt like this was a good time for a change. Sometimes you have to do something that feels right, even if it breaks your heart. And it does. But I'm excited about this opportunity to help start a new Party and see where we can take it. The other thing I am looking for is a new challenge. This fits the bill nicely. I think we should always challenge ourselves so we can grow as individuals and as players. I look forward to this new challenge."

So why did TheNorm join?
"The thought of a new place with cool people that want to cut out and through the bs. Have some fun, help the eUS, while being decent and having a good time doing it is certainly appealing. But.. Is it true? Well, I wanted to find out and help make it just that. I have a lot of respect for my previous parties, but a change of scenery and something new just feels right, now. So right here, right now, lets Rock n Roll!"

So why did Leroy Combs join?
“I want to be in a new party that can make their own history. I want to help any new players learn to be self-sufficient and an asset to the country.”

So why did Gonzo Veritas join?
“To keep eRep interesting, we need new players, new opportunities, and a break from the status quo. That requires fresh thinking, an inspired organization, and a renewed desire to add life to the game. That’s why I’m supporting the Rough Riders.”

So why did RanmaSaotome join?
“Hello, I am the Mad Dog Of Asteria. An oldfag so to say. I am here to help anyway I can, but I primarily play for the Alliance then USA and BG. For years the Alliance was above all else.”


This is the founding leadership team who will be the start of this final phase. The game is about international alliances and fighting, not political bickering between FEDS and WTP or SFP and BSP. Those days are long gone due to our dwindling numbers yet we are still stuck listening to the same stale arguments. The only thing that matters is our military efforts, our economic stability, and our enjoyment. This party aims to focus on them all.

Voots, TheeDude and I started working together over a year ago and were the team running the first two terms of Voots as our CP. We learned a lot then and the two of them took off running from there. I’m honored that we are joining up again for something new and fun.

We ran back then with the mindset of:

Country First
Unity
Allies
Decency
Activity
Winning

This is still our mindset and we are committed to it

Do you want to be a part of ACTUALLY helping to run the country, join us. You’ll have a party who can answer all of your international/military questions and show you exactly where we could use your help. The idea that “elites” run the country is absurd. The people calling them elites don't volunteer to do a single thing. I’ve served in multiple administrations where we would’ve been thrilled for anyone to join us and help but so few answered the call. ANYONE can easily join the eUS government and make a difference. There haven’t been a group of “elites” in this game for a long time. This is a loser's mentality. If you actually care and want to help, you now have the simplest way. Join us, get involved, and make a difference.
