Ninjutsu in Croatia
The history of ninjutsu in Croatia, as elsewhere in the world, is presented in different ways, so I will write briefly without too much detail and detail.
With the opening of ninjutsu to the world in the mid-1980s, ninjutsu also reached Croatia. This was, of course, through literature, novels and unfortunately very bad films, so the self-proclaimed ninjutsu instructor Rajko Bartolin opens the first ninjutsu school in Zabok. Of course, some distorted ninjutsu was taught here without any knowledge or licenses.
Brothers Dominic and Sasha Tesic come from Germany for a seminar and after the seminar Dean Rostohar approaches them and asks them to teach him .......
Brača Tesic graduated from the faculties of alternative medicine (one in Japan for 4 years and the other in China for 6 years) and after graduating they came to live in Croatia where they opened alternative medicine practices in Zagreb and Pitomača, run ninjutsu trainings for a small number of students and live selflessly. and with their vast knowledge of ninjutsu they do not want some titles and titles.
In Croatia, the traditional warrior skill of Bujinkan Ninjutsu is practiced in Zagreb at the Bujinkan Seishin Dojo (School of the Divine Warrior of the Pure Heart).
Shibu Cho (head teacher) for Croatia, Dean Rostohar Shihan (Kugyo Happo Biken Menkyo Kaiden).
Ninjutsu has been officially practiced in Croatia since 1993. That year, the first official ninjutsu club, the Bujinkan Seishin Dojo, was founded. The pioneers of ninjutsu in Croatia are Dean Rostohar and Davor Gašparović, today shihans (great teachers, great masters) of this skill.

DEAN ROSTOHAR

He has been practicing martial arts since the age of 10. From the earliest childhood, he was interested in martial and warrior skills, as well as firearms and cold steel, so wherever he has the opportunity, he studies them and deals with it. He practiced various skills and sports such as shotokan karate, wing chun, budokai, judo, kickboxing and in some he reached the master's degree. In 1986, he met ninjutsu for the first time and there was "love at first sight". Tesic. Only then did he discover the true original ninjutsu, so he used every free moment to go to Germany and train with them. The Tesic brothers introduced him to the leading people of ninjutsu in Japan and opened the door to the world of original ninjutsu. He attended various seminars of foreign non-Japanese teachers. The chief and founder of Bujinkan, Soke Masaaki Hatsumi, invited Japan to learn directly from him. Since then, he has been constantly practicing and perfecting himself in ninjutsu.
He joined the defense of Croatia from the Greater Serbia aggression in 1991. He joined SJP Alfa. In it, he was an instructor of martial arts and close combat, the leader of a specialist combat group and the leader of a specialist combat platoon. He applied the skill of ninjutsu in the war, where it saved his life several times.
At the request of Soke Hatsumi, he founded in 1993, the first and only Bujinkan school in Croatia. The date of the founding of the first official club of Bujinkan Seishin Dojo in 1993 marks the beginning of ninjutsu practice in Croatia. In preparation for Operation Flash in 1994, he was wounded near Pakrac. In one combat action behind enemy lines, he stepped on an anti-personnel mine and lost his right lower leg. The traumatic event changed his life, but 18 days after a serious injury, he returned to training in the gym. He spent three months in rehab, but constantly shortened his hospital days by leading trainings to which he went on crutches and later on prosthetics. In 1995, Dean Rostohar went to Japan for the first time. He is now one of the highest ranked teachers and has traveled almost all over the world and has held more than a hundred different seminars across Europe. Today, he trains and teaches special forces, the army, security guards and the police in martial arts at his school. He is the holder of the title shihan (great master), shibu cho (head of the branch) for Croatia in bujinkan ninjutsu. and the title kugyo happo biken, popular on the 15th day (in ninjutsu, in addition to the traditional 10th day, there are additional stages, each with a special name).
To expand his knowledge and skills, he founded the Specwog® group, of which he is the main instructor. It began in 2001, when he organized a small group of enthusiasts who want to improve, practice and explore all kinds of martial and warrior skills and all forms of tactical training in all segments: from martial to warrior skills, from self-defense to anti-terrorism, from bare-handed combat to fighting with blades and sticks, from firearms and equipment to protecting people and surviving in extreme conditions.

Kids from 9-12 years old in Bujinkan Pakrac trained great man Shihan Mario Tušek
