Finnish Acknowledgement of Improper Actions Against Turkey

Day 4,075, 12:01 Published in Finland Finland by Ministry of Education FI

Actuated by a desire to put an end to the hostilities which has since arisen between Finland and Turkey, and to establish lasting peaceful relations, Peace Treaty Between eTurkey and eFinland(url of the peace treaty article shall be mentioned here.) have been signed in which Finland expressed her willingness to publish this text of acknowledgement of improper actions against Turkey:

Pacifica carried out a campaign against Turkey in Summer 2017, which ultimately led to problematic times for Turkish politics and occupation of Turkish core regions. Further, Finland implemented Trade Embargoes and High Tax Rates against Turkey, severely damaging the production of Turkish companies based on mentioned areas. On top of the economic repercussions, the legislations caused political instability in Turkey.

Finland regrets the excessive actions taken by the government during that time. As a result of the Trade Embargoes and High Tax Rates, the bilateral relations between Finland and Turkey understandably deteriorated beyond what a regular war would have caused.

The Trade Embargoes and tax hikes in question, therefore, were a mistake Finland would like to express it regrets deeply. For the future of Turko-Finnish bilateral relations, it would like to turn a new page. From here on, both parties agree that economic legislations would be seen as unacceptable instruments of war against each other, which should not be used.
