[Mann4CP] There's Been An Awakening
Mann551
There’s been an awakening over the past few months here in eCanada. The media has been abuzz, at one point even reaching a third page of articles. We see new life being breathed into the political parties, first starting with the Imperial Party of Canada, and then the revival of the Ministry of Opportunity, and now there is even a potential of Rylde’s Whorehouse seeing more active days.
In addition, we have players who haven’t played for months and years returning back to eCanada.
It is in this moment of awakening that I seek to be your Country President for the term beginning
April 6th, 2018.
Should I be elected I will be bringing some newer faces with me to fill roles in cabinet as well as some older faces, and faces which have only recently made an appearance again. I hope to inspire some new ideas and to further enhance activity within eCanada without going completely off from what has been done and what has been working for the security and protection of eCanada over the past few months and years.
Look forward to my future articles outlining my platform and my cabinet.
If you are interested in getting involved, feel free to send me a message!
Until next time, and remember

The IPC, as previously agreed upon with Mann551, will support his run for Presidency. We are a Party of our word, and of Honour. We hope that Mann551 will bring great things and activity for Canada.
Why? Haven't you just shot off you big toe with the reemergence of IPC as something different, only to support the same old, same old of CPF? Pretty sure the official opposition isn't supposed to give a big thumbs up to the party it is supposed to opposing.
Dang, even Mozilla is here to say no.
I like to remind them every once and awhile that I'm not dead.
If it wasn't for an agreement I made in order to help build Canada through supporting Mann551, I wouldn't be. However, I think he can do a lot to help the main mission of IPC, which is renewed Activity in Canada, above all else.
IPC speaks with forked tounge.

A couple questions for you, Mann:
1) Should you win, will the rental agreements with Serbia and Romania continue under your watch?
2) Will you appoint any cabinet ministers who oppose the rental agreements?
3) If yes, will you be instructing them not to raise this opposition with our allies or enemies during your term in office?
Stupid question but I must ask.
If a cabinet member has a different opinion than CP that is good in my estimation. I always enjoyed having options when I was in the chair. However, why would someone hired to do a job proceed in a manner contrary to what was directed by his/her boss? That tends to get you fired, at least where I've worked.
There are no stupid questions here, dill. It's eRep!
There have been countless times when cabinet ministers in this game (not strictly talking about eCanada here) have had conversations with allies and enemies alike that seem to run contrary to their CP's wishes or the stated aims of that country at that moment in time.
I think that's one of the primary reasons that alliances tend to fall and reform. Very rarely do you see those conversations take place right out in the open with everyone seemingly in agreement.
Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting that I think anyone around these days would do that, but I want to know how serious our likely next CP takes the rental agreement, which appears to be the only real point of contention right now.
A couple answers for you, Chochi:
1) Should I win, the rental agreements with Serbia and Romania will continue as agreed upon how ever long ago that was. I have other plans for increasing activity, and I notice that this issue seems to raise tempers and cause disunity, which are not my goals.
2) I will be having cabinet ministers who oppose the rental agreements as they currently stand. I think diversity of opinion both within the country and within the cabinet is good, and will help reflect the views of all citizens of eCanada
3) I trust that all those in cabinet who have differing views from the official course of action would raise their issues with me privately, or with the rest of cabinet and I welcome them to do so. I also trust that those with differing opinions would not take those opinions into their line of work and purposely work against the eCanadian interest by sowing seeds of dissent among our allies. In short, I will not be explicitly instructing them not to raise the issue, because I trust that my cabinet has the proper judgement already to know that to do so would just reflect poorly on the rest of Canada as a whole and make no progress for either side of the debate.
I hope this has answered your questions? 🙂
of course the rental agreements will continue.... it would be silly to seriously suggest otherwise after considering the current state of the game and the benefits we receive.
Yes, those are great answers and answer all my questions very well.
Like I just said above in response to dill, I was merely curious about your opinions on the issue as it relates to your likely incoming cabinet. I also think that having diverse opinions helps foster ideas (not sure how far that travels in game these days) - it's no good working in an echo chamber - but I didn't want to prejudice your answer by stating what I thought the "right" answer should be.
I, for one, welcome our Mann overlords.
