Maybe if Wayne and co had spent a bit of time advancing the positives of their own party and slate of candidates, rather than always denigrating others they may have done better. 1) get Colombia to agree to the training war; or
2) get some support from our allies to kick them out

then they might stand a chance at become the better PCP. We had over a million CC sitting around as bait for a MTO, but nothing gets spent on COs for the RWs. What's the incentive for Colombia to give back regions or agree to a TW when we just sit patiently and let them occupy us? Make them dump a few 100k in COs to hold onto the territory and it might at least force them to the negotiating table.

It was never a secret that once I had been CP my passion for the game died. I had announced on more than one occasion that I was leaving the game, which was probably the reason Serf pushed for me to become dictator. To say I ran away after my dictatorship failed is a lie (it was game mechanics that made it impossible to hold on to technically), seeing as I was still logging in 6 weeks later. It was sometime around Fata's term that I eventually stopped logging in daily. Like it or not Rory, for bad or for worse, I've been one of the most influential eUKers. What other groups gave you want we did? 100% bonuses and a great starting base to do a Lithuania (we called it doing a sLOVEnia back then). You are more then welcome to try and write your own chapter in the eUK history books Rory.

So what exactly has been gained by defeating everyone who got in your way?

This for me highlights the contrast in how you and I differ in our approach. I want us all to succeed collectively for the good of the nation. For me one person or even a small group of people succeeding whilst all else withers is not something to be proud of and even if I could beat you, I wouldn't want to because it would achieve nothing. What exactly is the benefit to the eUK and its community of a last man standing gladiatorial approach? When you've defeated everyone else and you alone are left standing, then what?

This is where you get me all wrong Paul, I don't fight the man, only his methods and ideas. In order for the eUK to progress we need the competition of ideas, we require the debates and the arguments so that the best ideas rise to the top. I/we 'beat' them by swinging popular opinion towards my/our ideas. Surely that is the epitome of this game...

You may of noticed that I've worked alongside every single one of my 'opponents' before, during and after our ideas have won through. It's only those that take my challenge of their ideas as a personal attack that have ever had a problem with me and a dislike. Hell, when Malice ran for CP against Chewy, he ran a perfect UKPP manifesto with the backing of Keers. Sometimes it can get nasty, but that is not exclusive to just one side.

And if i'm not mistaken, your side launched an attack on me and my friends when you noticed that I had returned. If anyone threw the first punch upon my return, it was the side of the fence which you reside. So I would suggest you take a closer look at your claim of being 'in it collectively' and reappraise your line of thinking. In it together as long as people follow your narrative, would be a more truthful statement.

Yes, it's true that I value the individual, I've helped build up more accounts in the eUK then most people, yourself included and I've always encouraged players to play the game however they see fit. If we had a nation full of strong individual accounts with a good grasp of game mechanics, when we came together as a collective we would be unstoppable. This was the whole thinking behind the 'Elite Cabal' PM's. I brought together all the top people from all walks of life, regardless of my personal feeling towards them in an attempt to gather the best ideas of how to build accounts efficiently and the best ways of using game mechanics so that you guys could then go back to your respective groups and foster that thinking while still being able to keep your identity.

There is a divide in the UK and it makes the game more boring than it should be, governments are now filled without advertising positions and encouraging people to get involved. It just gets done by friends of friends and depending what side your on you'll either get a free ride or roasted mercilessly for a month for no good reason. We should collectively be encouraging players to do more, get more involved, not disregarding anything anyone says or does for banter cus they're not in your party.

For all the cool shit you've done for the UK, and there is a lot, it'd be a shame if helping create a toxic UK was the last thing you get remembered for.

Well it was only a few days ago he was threatening to PTO TUP - hardly the actions of a responsible vCP.

In addition I have long suspected they are just playing games to see just how far they can take the eUK with their trolling to get their kicks - didn't Wayne convince us to raise the minimum wage a few months back and now claims it was all a joke and wanted to lower it again?

Wayne is now complaining that he was not welcomed back with open arms upon his return:-

Now let's remember where we were when he returned and his friends started rallying round him. At the time he left he claimed he had taken money from the eUK, money that we desperately needed. He claimed the eUK had debts and that the money he took did not even cover those.

He has stated since his return that what he claimed when he left was not true. But remember at the time he returned we could only go on what he had told us before! We had believed what he said, accepted he was a thief and moved on. The community had come together after Wayne left, so when he returned and UKPP started rallying round him, alarm bells quite naturally started ringing loudly.

I finish by making the obvious statement - If it's true that he didn't take any of our money, then instead of blaming us for believing him after he claimed he did, perhaps he should consider not telling porkies?

Again, I think you are over egging the 'divide'. Compared to the past, we live in a time of relative peace. A few snide remarks here and there from all sides ain't exactly the end of the world. It's not the 'toxic' environment that is causing the inevitable death of the community it's the apathy. Arrlo above and many others, have stated time again that the biggest issue is the game. We have no real different way to play the game, options are limited and as such we are out of fresh ideas and passion. We tried just about every combination in the 10 years the game has been running and the community has missed chances that have been presented to us.

What does this leave us with? Bickering between ourselves and point scoring. It isn't just one side, it's from all sides. I'm quite ready to let sleeping dogs lie and put the past behind us while we attempt to write a new chapter in the eUK history books together. Since my return, I've only ever reacted, it was 'your' side that threatened to ostracise 'my' side, 'your' side decided to take the fight to the public sphere

As for Past Governments, they have included just about every Top 5 party. So I don't see how one group is holding another group back This year past year, we might as well not have had a MoFA and a MoD for most of it.

It's well and good asking for help, but most of the time there is very little to actually do and very little that people do when in the role. That's why I suspect 90% of the time the Candidate just goes and asks those that he know will actually do something when required.

imo, people want to be spending some time building up the communities in their own parties and MU's first and foremost, then we can work on improving Government roles.

Fair enough - maybe that's the best thing that anyone's said for a while and to be frank I was surprised just how few people seem to care what happened 2,3,5 or 10 years ago!
