Biblical Monsters For Real
Jesse2016
If you dream of looking for mythical monsters, there are two monsters in the Bible that are no myth but are real creatures created by God. Be warned though, these creatures are the stuff of nightmares! The first is called the Behemoth and Job 40:15-16 says ““Look at Behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. What strength it has in its loins, what power in the muscles of its belly!”” It has a tail like a cedar tree, bones as strong as bronze, and limbs as powerful as iron. It is even ranked first in all creation but is still subject to God’s will. Job 40:21-24 says “Under the lotus plants it lies, hidden among the reeds in the marsh. The lotuses conceal it in their shadow; the poplars by the stream surround it. A raging river does not alarm it; it is secure, though the Jordan should surge against its mouth. Can anyone capture it by the eyes, or trap it and pierce its nose?”
The second monster is the Leviathan which is also described in the book of Job. Job 41:12-14 says ““I will not fail to speak of Leviathan’s limbs, its strength and its graceful form. Who can strip off its outer coat? Who can penetrate its double coat of armor? Who dares open the doors of its mouth, ringed about with fearsome teeth?” It has airtight rows of shields on its back and it shoots out sparks of fire from its mouth. It has a chest as hard as rock and is not affected by the sword or the javelin. Job 41:27-29 says “Iron it treats like straw and bronze like rotten wood. Arrows do not make it flee; slingstones are like chaff to it. A club seems to it but a piece of straw; it laughs at the rattling of the lance.” You would think this monster resembles the Ogopogo in the Okanogan or the Lochness Monster in the UK. But these fearsome creatures have yet to be captured or identified and thus far has eluded contact with people. All we have is the description in the Bible.

This could be another example where accounts in the Bible pre-dated scientific discoveries. Job my well have been the first paleontologist.
The Leviathan is pretty clearly a crocodile (strong limbs, graceful form, coat of armor, javelins useless) while the Behemoth is probably an elephant (feeds on grass, powerful legs)
Have you ever heard of "Preterism"?
nah dude, dinosaurs!

Problem with behemoth being an elephant. Have you seen an elephant tail?
Not a tail like a cedar, that's for sure. See how the description contrasts with a brontosaurus
Tall cedars sway in the wind, much like an elephant tail swaying.
Think like a bronze age person, not a 21st century one hahahaha 😃
The spark-breathing part contrasts with every known living creature, too.
What's really amazing, though, is how much debate there is about vague references like this, for example: http://creation.com/behemoth-and-leviathan
When something can't be touched or seen, and no historical trace of it will ever be discovered, let's just say it can be whatever anyone imagines it to be. It's fiction from a single source unless some other observer can be found to make similar and objective claims.
I want to imagine them being divine dinosaurs because dinosaurs are really cool and amazing.
I looked up preterism and honestly I'm not familiar with the term. But I do agree some prophecies in the Bible have been fulfilled such as the destruction of Babylon, the destruction of Tyre etc.
