Nope not needed
Thanks, it's decided then with 100% of the current tallies not in favour of house resources \o/
Well that was easier than I thought 😃
Wow it's that rare species. A Henry the 8th article with one of those incredible pictures. I feel privileged that I lived to see my second sighting.
It's as if the heavens have opened and awe inspiring beauty has shone through \o/
I might start doing a few more, it's kinda fun 😛
A man's home is his castle. 🙂
It's fit for my queen 🙂

That looks like a dump 😛
It has excellent ventilation 😉
It's a renovator's delight! 😉
You 2 would make excellent real estaters XD
I would like houses and hospitals back in the game.
I still have like 6 hospitals 😛
i have some house companies, for personal use only. Nothing for sale, so...
No, there are no eAus house producers now that I have left. Drop your import taxes and I can sell some on the eAus market. I pay $100/shift. 🙂
Fun fact: with one house bonus it's not worth buying a house on the salary that has to be paid for the company to profit.
Really?
Yes, really, to a point.
At 60/shift and 0.21 for RM a house built with one bonus costs 460 CC. 7*60=420, which doesn't match the cost price.
At 85/shift and 0.21 for RM, the cost price is 565 CC, which has to sell for 582 CC o cover VAT. 7*85=595, which might be worthwhile depending on what work tax you're paying these days. A price of 582 CC for a Q1 house is ludicrous though. It's 90-100 CC higher than the international price.
More 'really' to the statement that no one produces houses in Australia....
And yes if you set up your business/factories correctly here, you can make a profit.
So making them is cheaper than buying them in a country like ours?
I can make a profit with full house bonuses even paying 100/shift.
Housing determined the wages paid around the world at the moment... The new special resource might be the governor next month.
My idea was originally 4 weapon and 3 food, but would I be better with 3 weapon, 2 food and 2 house ya reckon?
See a PM...
Yes Henry there is people who produce houses.
I have not put any on the market for a while as I have been away at work (can't search for the market price). But once I am back, I will be placing more onto the Australian market for you.
1 person doesn't justify a region for it
Then increase the housing regions and encourage more producers...
then we lose weapons, bad idea
Yeah, I have myself a couple.
houses or companies?
Por que no los do?
el burrito si enchilada?
I don't see the value in houses in eRep, although perhaps I'm doing it all wrong.
Extra energy, over time tickets...
Best way to put it, if your in a good paying job, the amount you can earn in cc could actually pay for the house your using (via overtime) and the increase in energy level is something you can use while fighting.
Ilene once done a good article about it, unsure if I still have the link somewhere...
I'm not in a good cash paying job, although Henry VIII recently upped my wage to 10AUD. I do get a trailerload of Q7 guns every so often to compensate. Does a $500 house help in any way?
$11 dollars, now 😃
Gordon, it all depends on what your deal is with Henry to be able to work out the pay/reward aspect. And in regards to your increase in energy levels, that depends on your playing style, if you two click or go all out.
Like everything in the game, it depends on what the player is doing. Something that benefits one player, might not be perfect for another one.
If there was a good article on the benefits on houses then maybe some people can be persuaded, but you can't manager work so most don't bother ...
Dude... I wrote this a year ago when you were CP the first time:

This game works in dog years, a year is 7 and I can't remember that far back 😃
I think you need to run for CP again, we have an open spot in KH if ya want 😛
Ilene, Henry still believes that I was his MoF during his first term.

I realised our wage market is stuck at $100 at the moment. So 55% from 2 resources (assuming ideal distribution) on housing may not be enough, we could possibly need 75% from 3 resources to make it globally competitive.
Although the new system and new distribution could change things somewhat globally as the maximum possible seems 90% and only 7 countries at most could attain that level in housing, and that's assuming those 7 countries manage to get all 4 of the top 4 housing resources. Add to this the exclusion zones which means that only two countries in Europe would be able to achieve this at best, probably only one. Same goes for South America. If we end up with a case where nobody gets above 70% on housing (and entirely possible scenario). Then global housing prices may rise significantly above where they are now.
Also, even at a 40% bonus, the workers in the housing company can afford the houses they build.
That 40% figure assumes the company is both mining materials and constructing.
Basically we need to decide the route the country wants to go for the next year or so:
Houses = $$$
Tanks = Strength
Food = Energy.
Once that is worked out, we need to analyze the plus and minus to each route.
Like....
Will it make us a target? and if so, will we be able to defend against it?
Is the reward from that industry beneficial to the country or the player/mu only?
Can we compensate the loss of a resource/production area with tax changes to encourage over seas sellers or people moving companies?
While a few of us have a handle on the details and possible implications of the changes, some are still having trouble, although we're doing out best to answer questions in the short time we have.
There are too many variables to be able to have an exhaustive debate given the time we have, although we can still discuss these amidst the public and senate votes.
Working out an average from the vote will be relatively easy, and I'm sure most Senators will consider these things in deciding their preferences for industry priority and resource split. Once that is done, there should only be a few small details we need to decide on, and some of the potential issues may not even be likely under certain vote outcomes.
If we aim for the stars we get taken over, 55% is fine, it's more than we have now and lets everyone make as much or more than we do already, we need to cater for all and not to the few, or we exclude more people yet again and have a bigger target on our heads ....
It also depends how the vote goes. If the tally is 1 housing resource then 30% is the max (assuming we could collect one). Workers in the company could still JUST afford the houses they build, but the prices would be high.
If the vote ends that way then we could have a run-on vote perhaps, see if those who voted for 2 housing would settle for 1 if that's what the tally is, or if they'd prefer to redirect that preference.
It needs to be open I agree, but we need to aim for a healthy mixture rather than just focusing on 1 product or we end up getting screwed .... again ....
