Mood Music: Time to Change the Floors

I’ve been planning this for a while now. Earlier this week, my wife and kids left for a month-long trip to visit her family. I’ve known this was coming for several months and I knew this was my opportunity to step up and do the hardest job in eAmerica again.

I, dmjohnston, am formally announcing my intention to be your President for the month of April.



My past experience in the eUS speaks for itself. I’ve been heavily involved in this community for a long time now. I don’t always agree with everyone - though I usually agree with everyone at least once at some point - but in my prior terms, I made it a point to work with people regardless of party affiliation. In some instances, that cost me the support of certain people. I am committed to continuing that stance. I want the right people for the job, not the right parties for the politics.

I also intend to renew my efforts to maintain open and frequent communication with other nations, allies and enemies alike. We don’t have all that many enemies these days, but I have a proven record as a President that can interact professionally with other heads of state personally and convey the position of the eUS.



Something that I felt set me aside from some recent Presidents was my transparency as an executive. I intend to bring back meaningful Daily Press Briefings and my weekly State of the Union articles, in addition to regular WHPRs (which has been an outstanding aspect of Israel Stevens’s Presidency this month and his media team) and other government publications. President Stevens has shown how important media is to a Presidency and I fully agree with his position.
