International Women's Day + gifts
Australian Parliamentary Party
Good day ladies and gentlemen,
For a third consistent year our party wants to remind that at least for one day of the year each woman should receive special attention from any man around her. We hope that this article will bring to you positive emotions and will make your day with one idea better doesn't matter if you are man or lady
🙂
Every year on March 8th, many women's clubs throughout Australia hold events on or around this day that reflect global and local gender issues. Day events take place to honor and celebrate the achievements of women all around the world. Large and small, formal or informal, these events mark the economic, political and social achievements of women.
All Australian Parliamentary Party (APP) members would just like to celebrate and remind the eworld that the 8th of March is International Women's Day. We would like to commemorate this special day by sending out our respect and best wishes to all women in our eWorld community.
In the real world we usually give flowers or some cute presents to the ladies, but we don't have such items here, instead of flowers our gifts to the ladies will be 150 pieces of the best quality food. Unfortunately we are not able to know who stands behind the avatars, so just put (or include) a star * below in your comment if you are female, and you will be given the food.
Let's Cover A Little More Information About This Day:
In 1913 Russian women observed their first International Women's Day on the last Sunday in February (by Julian calendar then used in Russia). Although there were some women-led strikes, marches, and other protests in the years leading up to 1914, none of them happened on March 8th. In 1914 International Women's Day was held on March 8, possibly because that day was a Sunday, and now it is always held on March 8th in all countries.
The day is an official holiday in Afghanistan, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, China (for women only), Cuba, Georgia, Guinea-Bissau, Eritrea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macedonia (for women only), Madagascar (for women only), Moldova, Mongolia, Nepal (for women only), Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zambia.
In some countries, such as Cameroon, Croatia, Romania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Bulgaria and Chile, the day is not a public holiday, but is widely observed nonetheless. On this day it is customary for men to give the women in their lives – friends, mothers, wives, girlfriends, daughters, colleagues, etc. – flowers and small gifts. In some countries (such as Bulgaria and Romania) it is also observed as an equivalent of Mother's Day, where children also give small presents to their mothers and grandmothers.
Note:
The giveaways (150 Q7 food) will continue to the end of eDay 3032.

Very Condescending, Great Job! 🙂
I think it's very nice. What do the ladies think?
nice thanks 🙂
Is not international young white women in white dresses day, but good effort nonetheless, and very informative on the holiday policies. I wonder if in China on international children's day undocumented child labourers also get a day off.
It might not be a holiday in Australia, but at least our minister for women is a woman now.
Those on the sunset picture are all black. Are you satisfied with that 😛
White is a symbol and it is pretty neutral color by the way. It is both classic and modern and fits perfectly to ladies with cute smiles.
So much information 😮
Very good article!
*V Thank you😁)
Thanks J!
Don't personalize - it is from all man to all women. Happy Women's Day Lany!
We need an international bikini day \o/
It's a good idea to draw attention to it. But your pictures of white women wearing feminine clothing are...I struggle for a word. Boring? Only part of the story? You risk trivialising the day and the celebration into something like Valentine's Day if you do that.
(Note no * means don't send me stuff - I don't need it!)
Is this a better picture showing a more politically correct image of the hard working women?

She is also white, and falls into the "white people go to work" myth.
Women go to work, and so many many things besides. Sitting in a field laughing, or dancing on the beach probably happens about as frequently as it does for you!
But that would be boring. I'll be happy when we don't need International Women's Day anymore. Just look at the Matildas and Hockeyroos for inspiration. 🙂
Hahaha, look at how she is holding the "hot" soldering iron
The pictures of the erep girls like Lana and the library girl from V2 would have been better 😃
Gees a Politically correct person. What a pain they are.
People share different opinions and that make the world beautiful 🙂
A little better/correct bit of history:

* Could you give us an explanation for grey color on the map?
My father and brothers take up all the responsibilities in the house and try to make the day as worriless as possible for my mother, and LoL they did that with help from our housemaid. 🙂
Thanks for publish it.
