[Orik4CP] The Times They Are a-Changin'

America, a little background story is in order. I joined this game back in April of 2009 and promptly quit. Presumably, I must have had stuff going on in my life that wouldn't allow me the time to participate. Fast forward to July of 2014 to when I rejoined the game and the story begins.

Over the past year and a half or so, I've worked with some pretty amazing people. I got my start doing some MU jobs for Wookyjack and Nickbergman and Jude Connors in SHIELD. After, I transitioned into doing Fed Party work. I worked under the PP tutelage of Tyler Bubblar, Trekker, Dave Gulya, Slybabymichele, BigC, Eliwood_Sain, Paul Proteus, and Apollo. Eventually, I was tasked with leading the MU SHIELD and, then, the Federalist Party as it's Party President for two terms. I cultivated a regrowth in the party with activity levels rising significantly. Nationally, I slowly rose through the ranks to Secretaries of Citizen Affairs, Media, and State and now as the Chief of Staff, overseeing all of the functions of the executive.

All of that, leading to this.

I am announcing my candidacy for the President of the eUnited States for February 2016.



At this very moment, our country is being threatened by external forces beating at our door. We will not be beaten. The resolve of the American people is as strong as ever. We cannot be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. We will not go quietly into the night.

Internally, we're also still threatened. Our people are fractionalized. We must reconcile our differences and work together to insure these United States stand strong for a long time to come. It is my desire to reunite our people and provide a common platform by which we continue to rebuild our community.

So, my campaign is focused on maintaining our status as a world power across the globe and bringing together our people for that task. We should not spend time fighting one another as our goals are the same. A quote I like is from Orson Scott Card in his book Ender's Game: "Remember, the enemy's gate is down". Through it, we should all take advice on how to treat directional instruction and personal orientation.

I understand that I am a new candidate, but I hope that I am not an unknown. As a 12 time Congressman, I have grown and learned from our Constitution. I am one of you; each of you.

I will be updating more in the coming week with my cabinet and plans.
