Why did the party changed its name?

What is your international policy? And what do you mean by 'United Netherlands'? It's not an online erep version of the real United Netherlands debate group thing from Nijmegen is it?

First to clarify, no we have no direct bounds with the debating group from Nijmegen. The party changed name to the name of the party that was once the second largest party with 46 members in eNL. We are still working on our program, but I can already tell you some things. We promote the idea of a United Netherlands, a merge between eNL and eBe. This could mean a real merge, our main goal, but also a closer friendship and more dialogue between our countries. Another point we would like to focus on is active recruitment in other countries. If we pick the right people and invite them to our country we would be in full control of our immigration policy. We want to make a clear statement on who our allies are and return the free food programs and university for new citizens. We also promote clean politics and don't like behind the scenes decisions. We want transparency about the government and congress and we will no longer tolerate fights that devide us. We need to work on active solutions for the problems we face in the eWorld!

Apart from the real United Netherlands idea, I fully agree with you.

Nice spoken, Kordak! But there's one thing. How can you be so sure we have no bounds with the debating group from Nijmegen.... There are certain members, who live in certain cities, and that might have certain contacts in certain groups............

Are the food and university programs currently being worked on now Kordak?

merge betweeen eNL and eBE is something from the past. just a few people (some that weren't even around at the original merger) have it in their heads that it's still a good idea or even a possibility with current erep mechanics. Neither communities want it.

university might still be a nice idea but it should be allowed to become it's own thing not within the timeframe it was started previously, something like that can't be rushed or forced to work in x amount of time.

the congress forum is open to all eNL citizens to speak their mind. and ask questions, also many things are shared there and will be once again shortly summarized at one point in the MoI paper this term.

A merge between eNL and eBE is the future! We need to promote the idea so even the old technocrats in both communities will understand the need of it. Besides of that better relations with our neighbours are always good. We want to do it step by step, you are for better relations too right?

I will work on the university this month to make it happen. If the government doesn't want to continue it I will make it a prive university.

Being able to speak to the congress doesn't mean that there is a lot of transparency. There is always room for improvement for it!

relations are good. even with germany. and ofcourse there is always work to do in that regard, and they are being worked on. also don't really think many people in eBE associate the name kordak positivity though.

and no a merger is not the future. but hey keep shouting things that will never happen if it makes you happy.

I am glad that you agree on the relations part. Besides of that it is not about a name, it is about a vision! And we will need everyone to help restore our country. And I promise you that I will keep shouting for it.

United Netherlands isn't going to happen because

1. game mechanics won't allow this to happen. With determination and freedom fighting it will be impossible to keep the regions for a very long time under occupation,

2. Neither community wants this to happen, besdies that you cannot force people to change citizenship

3. Unlike the previous United Netherlands in the past now you still have elections including President Elections so yo will need to keep people there to keep it save

4. *IF* and that is a big if it should be United Belgium this time, previous time it was United Netherlands. But ofcourse that is not acceptable for the Nationalist here among us.

1. So to be able to do this we need more population. It is time to try to get more Dutch and Belgium people in erep to let our country grow!

2. There are people in both communities that wants this. We cannot force people to change citizenship, but we can offer them a deal they can't refuse.

3. We just need to install a dictator in the other country that acts like governor.

4. There are maps where the Netherlands is being called Belgica, I wouldn't mind too much about the name. It is the concept we need to work to!

Thanks to our switch in the international field towards Nebula, we are further away from this United Netherlands idea than ever. However, the current government is doing it's best to collaborate as much as possible with the Belgians. Sadly they are quite busy at the moment helping their allies.

In parties with only one candidate part of the members might not be voting in order to avoid the XP, whereas some others (D4 players) definitely do want to vote for the same XP...
In any case, the elections themselves are meaningless in those parties, and therefore also the number of people voting is not that important.
For parties with a choice, this of course is not the case, so there these numbers are a measure of activity...

I'm actually somewhat surprised at the low number of votes in Verenigd Nederland (United Netherlands). These PP elections were in the national news with a couple of articles by Henry XI, but somehow only 4 out of 15 people decided to vote...

I don't think not wanting XP is a valid reason for not voting at all. Unless they have some internal party communication which tells everyone the number of votes, so that they don't have to vote if they agree with the results to that point.

So it sure doesn't look good for them...

We have 5 votes of 7 members and they have 4 of 15. o.O

Henri XI just started playing so everybody understood he wasn't going to get votes in these elections. Him writing an article about it isn't changing that. It shows his ambitions for the future though so let's hope he sticks around.

Yeah, it's great to have more people around that are interested in politics. 🙂

No need to vote really if there is one candidate as was the case at I&W and GPN, nor when there are two of which one candidated himself the day he started playing 😉

I tend to value the amount of votes a party gets in Congess elections way more valuable. VN often scores 90% to even above 100% with those. Which imo, makes clear VN is still the party with less bla bla but still a lot of action (albeit by a small number of players) which is valued by a lot of players. Fits nicely with Verenigd Nederland (United Netherlands...) I'd say.

Like I said above: XP is the real factor if there is one candidate. People in D4 should vote, others shouldn't.

Given the amounty of D4 players in VN its safe to asume they did 😉

Oh by the way; On occasion I do get the question if a vote is needed and asume some others will as well.

I will follow the progress closely. Nothing really new was announced; Seen it happen before from the same players in several different roles and all it proved to be were (good) plans that never became more then just plans and the people having them quitting, being busy with other matters or all kind of other reasons. Will it happen this time???
