If you didnt know our latest President is kissing the boots of Argentina while dumping Ireland the country that tried to support us in the Argentina wipe.
The Great President has decided to give 50k to Argentina for 1 piece of land, without even consulting Ireland who declared Argentina as NE to help the UK, the Irish Leader is not happy with this development and many are mocking the decision.
Don Croata
lol
Ruining everything being accomplished between our two countries in a day. Buying your own regions for 50k? Gosh sounds like v1 of erepublik. Maybe it's time to get back to the good old wars.
I hope there will be some people in UK which has helped us so much lately who will see this deal as a betrayal because that's what it is. Ireland attacked Argentina to help UK and now UK makes a deal with Argentina without even consulting with Ireland. How familiar...
Ireland are our Brothers and shouldn't be treated like this after they tried to help the UK.
This is the latest news on the Government.

Thank you for supporting eIreland o7
I'm paying for it, not the taxpayer
You're responsible for whole UK, not only yourself.
Tell that to Thatcher too 😃
So what you have backstabbed Ireland, You 1st real thing to do and you sold them out, a few weeks ago you was signing their praises I knew it was just fake as when I wanted a mpp with Ireland you was against it.
http://prntscr.com/7qvuk8 My message in Congress few days ago when someone proposed diplomatic relation of our conflict with eArgentina. I think that it is acceptable to share this screenshot since it is only my opinion about the conflict stated few days ago.
diplomatic soultion* (not relation, my mind floated away)
Yeah they have no morals Tom
Thanks for pointing it out.
No problem it just goes to show many in the current government just talk the talk and know little about friendship or they just think about themselves.
i will point out that no one in gov knew about this other than appleby.
we were just told to start a RW by appleby because he said he had bought a region off of argentina for 50k. no one else knew from as far as i know.
at first appleby also did not tell us the whole terms, only that he had bought a region for 50k. i had to ask if there were any further conditions which he then said we could not liberate any other region or start A/S but still did not mention the fact we could not fight against Argentina, which i found out from Vyc's article.
i wouldnt pin the whole gov on this, we had no idea.
Thank you Scarfar for a honest reply
We've spent months building better ties between our two countries, shame this has happened to set it back again.
I will pay 50k for Ireland to have a region back, it's the least we can do after they jumped in to help us
Thanks buy I doubt that we will be willing to pay our enemy for our own regions, time will come when we will free ourselves. I just hope that eUK will reconsider this deal with eArgentina, as I see many players are against such deal and even some members of the government. Because of you and similar honourable and great eUK players I would be very sad if our 2 countries would not be friends any more.
Everyone knows that the Irish NE was more than risky.
Don't get me wrong it was a nice gesture and surely it shows the commitment of them.
But it was clear that it would not accomplish anything, and only lead to occupation. And in the end the UK isn't obligated to them now. Each country can decide what to do on their own with Argentina. I'm sure the UK wouldn't call them "backstabbers" etc. if they agreed on a similar deal.
To be honest, if eIreland had done the same thing then all the older eUK players would have gone "pffffffft, eIreland is being eIreland"since EIreland has probably u-turned on more peace agreements the moment the eUK is looking the other way than the other way around. I've lost count the number of times the UK and eire were friends but the moment Canada or France invaded the Irish invaded northern Ireland etc.....
I remain a firm supporter of a Free eEire.
When the time comes to liberate the Emerald Isle, I shall be there throwing everything that I have at the uninvited invaders!
I cannot think of a more effective way of REDUCING eUK sympathy and support for eEire than publishing pointless articles like this which appear to be aimed at destroying any kind of Anglo Irish trust and comradeship!
Trust has already been broken the minute Sir Hardy Anyone done a deal with the devil haven't you read any other articles or are you just ignorant
Shocking and horrendous
Yeah, Dapper's annihilation of the English language shocks me too
None of this can be decided by the gov without consensus, it'll be clear how effective a NAP with Argentina is when UK people fight for Ireland on the battlefield. I'll be there, not sure about Bruce though, he doesn't really fight and his MU is primary used for rigging UK elections.

first we heard anything about a deal was this by SHA:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-apple-free-day-4-a-brief-announcement-2537049/1/20
and it wasn't even posted in the PM thread by him
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/diplomatic-liberation--2537225/1/20
I feel this should be the next step.
Just to clarify, whatever your stance on this, whether posotive or negative I am not going to comment on.
I would just like to correct a few facts. The only two members of the government who knew about this are Appleby and Mittekemuis.
Not the whole government.
Get an irish-argentinian to contact argie gov and ask peace.
It should be far easier than the eUK case, believe me.
My guess is that my countrymen want out of Ireland/UK, but doing so while saving face.
It's not a decision I'd have wanted to take, but we should recognise it as executive mandate, unless we really want to denigrate the PM position to a rubber stamping face of the government.
I wholly support good relations with eIreland, and that isn't conditional on a patch of greener grass or some 5min deal where we do better. Recognise that while this has short term negative implications for eIreland, it looks significantly worse than it is. Of course we all read the 'news' in this and other threads and look carefully at the source, does that person have a strong agenda that might be clouding the issue.
My own thoughts are that we've made no more than a PR mistake, and that if consulted, eIreland would almost certainly have come to the same conclusion and given blessing to go ahead. After-all let's not forget, eIreland entered war with Argentina to assist us, it stands to reason that they are just as keen to continue assisting us and would therefore ratify Appleby's course of action. If we had a hope in hell of fighting the enemy, we'd be making the wrong decision, but that is simply not the case. Day after day I contribute the max dmg I can, often gaining BH's only to loose the battle.
Within the rules of the NAP, I'll be looking to support eIreland in it's other battles or interests. This in turn frees up their armies to take whatever action they decide to take.
Refuse to shit on those that support us.
Meh. It's a load better than Willy would do..
Really..... Nah
Really...Yah

I am still struggling to understand how setting up a deal to buy back a single territory from Argentina can be construed as 'stabbing Ireland in the back'.
Can we focus on POSITIVE strategies that will result in liberation of eUK and eEire please.
Throwing stone internally achieves no useful purpose!
it's because the deal terms stipulate the eUK gov can't start any wars against the argies or fight for ireland against them. It betrays the irish
v + s
I like how the argies think they can tell the euk to stop starting wars and to fighting for the Irish the gov cant stop the populace doing that.Such a stupid stipulation.
Im form eArgentina, how can I help to improve your situation?
It's funny, Bruce, because you supported Willjay, who, as part of his platform, was willing to open diplomatic negotiations with Argentina. I would cry double standard, but I think everyone already knows you're a bit of a hypocrite. You should probably just change your name to Harvey Dent.
Garbage! The lot of it!
(Even though it's kinda true)
