[OE] The Difference

Day 2,630, 06:39 Published in Ireland South Korea by Don Croata

Hello Ireland,
Today I’m going to write about The Difference. In the last couple of weeks our congress discussions has been only about one side blaming the other for some mistakes they see in each other. After weeks of trying hard to make people start respect each other and actually coordinate and do something to make things better for all the Irish citizens today I give up.

I’d like to make sure that Irish people knows what’s happening in Ireland in recent times. The current Government has been working hard for longer than a month to make Ireland a better place to live. We’re trying to build an organised country which we currently aren’t close to be. In all other countries of eWorld you can find people organising their Congress discussions and debates which are highly important for the future of their countries on the National Forums.

How debates look like in Massive PM threads...fighting over unimportant things.

There’s been many reasons why Forums are important for any kind of decision making process. The main reasons are the quality of debates, transparency of debates and of course easy access to every congressmen which would like to contribute. Once Forums have been announced in the Congress we could hear a lot of complaining from partisan opposition which was complaining mostly about every sign of progress started by the current Government. Before they’ve even heared of who is going to administrate forums there was attacks on our current President An Sluagh about how he would have the high influence over the Forums. Funny thing. Sluagh has recieved trust from the majority of Irish people, he would have the legitimacy to run the Forums, but considering the starting complaints he has decided to hand it over to Ian Arb, one of the best moderators of forums and one of the most trusted and hard-working guys around here.

Irish Congress is probably the least active congress in the World. This was just another reason to move the discussions to the Forums. More than half of congressmens Irish people elect and trust their vote to haven’t written the single message in the Congress Threads. This is where the real problem is. Parties are electing people in the Congress just so they could get some medal, instead of electing people who would step out with fresh ideas, constructive criticism and actually useful debates.

How ILP really works..

ILP and their leaders Winston Hope Smith and Liam Tatlock has elected someone like Colin Fox in the Congress. ILP generally most of the time elects people who aren’t really congress material. They aren’t the only party which does this, everyone have the same problems, we have serious lack of active players, that’s something we need to change and this is something this Government has been working on too. We’ve created new Erepublik Ireland facebook page, we’ve prepared all the neccessary things for the Baby Boom and now only thing we need to do is gather money and write several tutorials to welcome our new citizens. But that’s some other topic.

The real issue about our current situation is the partisan opposition. Once Colin Fox, also known as the worst Irish President in History is someone who often speaks about giving the right to the people and similar things. Does anyone remember his term? We didn’t had a single debate, poll, referendum, he didn’t bother to even start Congress threads, he haven’t done anything for this country in the 30 days he had a chance to. Did he gave any “power to the people”? No, he didn’t. Even his articles are obviously just a politically written text. So, this guy has been elected by ILP to join the Irish Congress. The first thing he did was attacking our Minister of Finances - Nogin the Nog. Another trustworthy Irish citizen.

Nogin has been handing over financial reports to all Party Presidents, including Winston Hope Smith. It means that Colin could have just ask WHS to show him those details. It’s not a secret. What he did was trying to use this partisan method of attack started first by the Clerics and asked Nogin for full financial details. It is legimate request. I even agree those informations shouldn’t be kept only for PP’s, it’s not that important anymore. But the way Colin did it was terrible. His speech was full of hate and he even used term “Cappy Paddy” which is an insult to any decent RL Irish. After this, Nogin wanted to ban Colin from the forums only for 48 hours. This Government simply didn’t want to start the Forums debates with insults and we wanted to make sure insults like that one doesn’t have the place in the Congress.

Respect others..

What happened after was a disaster, ILP, led by 2 times Irish President Winston Hope Smith (does anyone remmebers single thing he did in his two terms?) has decided they won’t be using the Forums anymore. Colin is their member, but no one should use terms like those, especially someone who is just trying to provocate conflicts and start some “revolutions” they aren’t capable of leading. ILP had their chance to run a country. In their terms we’ve seen either nothing worth mentioning, no debates, no discussions, no foreign affairs. Ireland has been left out every process of the eWorld diplomacy in ILP terms, we’ve lived through the biggest robbery in Irish history in ILP terms, we’ve seen Ireland without any voice in eWorld in their terms.

Now when finally the current Government has decided to shake things up a bit, to build a solid start for Irish baby boom, when we’ve decided to improve our decision making, debates and activity. We’ve opened supplies for all Irish citizens and yet, that’s not enough for ILP. They are still not using the Forums, they still refuse to be constructive opposition to the current Government, they still chose the be the partisan opposition which hates to see their country progress under other peoples leadership, but yet they are incapable to make Ireland progress under their own leadership. ILP has decided to exclude themselves from the rest of Ireland. We have had troubles voting even NE laws which secured us the current bonuses, we had troubles voting unimportant laws, we had troubles with everything.

For example, any issues with the forums or the Government generally has been solved with all other parties which aren’t even included in the Government. We have Irish Freedom Party as constructive opposition, we have Eire Aonair which wasn’t so happy about several things and they had reason not the be, we’ve solved those things thanks to their constructive critisism. I’m trying to say that we don’t have to agree over all things, but we can fix them together and find a solution which makes everyone happy. We can be united and make decision together with every citizen and party of Ireland except the ILP. Yet,they consider themselves being right and they actually think everyone else are wrong. I’ve even PM’d one of their congressmens which didn’t had any idea about what’s going on at all.

While this Government has decided to do something for Ireland, ILP has been trying to stop everything
. They request a debate over embargo law on Poland, which was launched by all our friends and been voted without single problem, without discussion (which wouldn’t make sense since no one is trading with Poland anyway) and they still voted it down because there was no debate. What if someone sets NE on us, should we wait 24 hours to make sure ILP sees a debate over some obvious thing? I was hoping they just don’t understand the game mechanics, but the sad thing is, they don’t want this country to grow, not under any other party.

Under constructive Governments of all other Irish parties we’ve accomplished many success, we’ve got ourselves strong alliance, good friends, we’ve made our voice being hear in eWorld, we’ve actually became influentive, we’ve secured Irish citizens supplies 24/7 ; we’ve secured ourselves awesome bonuses for a small country, we are near seeing baby boom in Ireland, we have working forums finally, which are organised perfectly.

We need only two more things - active congress and constructive opposition which has the Irish, not party interests in their mind. Unfortunatly, I don’t think ILP will ever learn how to do worthy things for the Ireland, instead of having political games and fights. I hope I’m wrong, but I’ve lost all my hopes on this.

In the meantime, Omega Eireann have 100% of congressmens registered on the forums, active in decision making and active on the IRC where we try to supply people, where we try to meet our friends and make Ireland more influentive. We do our part in making Ireland strong. Just like the other Irish parties. Except ILP. The partisan opposition.

Signed,
Don Croata, OE PP
