[DMV4CP] Foreign Affairs
DMV3
Foreign Affairs is essential to eCanada moving forward. Electing a President who can coordinate and get along with our allies is important, but this month we need to be able to focus on creating new allies and winning over former enemies. My focus for the month will be to keep our current relationships strong, but I will also focus on building up relationships we have not focused on previously.
Having a CP that is able to act reasonably with our allies and enemies is of the utmost importance for the month ahead. I will work hard at keeping our ties to Atlas strong while also looking toward our future place in the world. With an alliance shake up eminent we must be prepared to work with anyone and everyone so that we're not left out in the cold. Today's enemies may very well become tomorrow's friends. We have nutured great friendships and while we we need to focus on those relationships we must also build new close friendships.
Making Canada's Case
When we have elected strong leaders with the ability to reach out to friends and allies Canada has shown a resilience most small nations would envy. When focused on Foreign Affairs, Canada has continously shown we can hit way above our weight class, and use strategy to handle much stronger foes. With the exception of our most recent occupation that has been the case sense my last terms as CP. This ability helps our case for inclusion in a strong alliance in the months ahead, but before we can make that case we must be able to deal with our current issues.
Force and will alone will not deal with our current occupation. Our enemies have shown a willingness to outspend us to hold our territories. It is for that reason we will need to be focused on diplomacy and if need be subterfuge to regain our territories.
While it may not be popular I understand that in diplomacy one must be able to make hard decisions and give up a little to gain a lot. Moving forward my team will do our best to represent Canada in a way that is respectful to our allies and helps win over our enemies. We will make decisions that uphold Canada's place in the world, while still acknowledging the realities of our situation at any given time. We will act with deference when necessary and we will represent Canada with tact and respect for those we're dealing with.
We have been able to keep large opponents bogged down in the quagmire that is an eCanadian campaign, we must get back to making an occupation as inconvenient for our enemies as is humanly possible. This in combination with giving our allies crucial support when needed make our case for being an ally most nations will respect. I know our strengths and me and my team will use those strengths as our selling point to new alliances to ensure we get our proper place at the table.
The choice is yours Canada!
Do we move forward or stay where we are?

best part of the game is FA
"We have nutured great friendships..."
LMAO when I misread that. Thought you said "neutered". 😃
You wanted to know about FA, I hope you find this satisfactory.
Oh I completely agree with what you say in this article. (Note the endorsement.) Guess it's just because it's past my bedtime and I read that wrong that got me so tickled.
Diplomacy=shoot first ask questions later 😛
Just kidding, good luck! 🙂
All of these things are already happening.
We're in discussions with everyone and have already received formal and informal invites to a variety of groups and/or alliances.
As I stated before though, we will not be jumping into bed with anyone and we will stand by our true friends and allies as they stand by us.
Time will tell what the future brings, for now we wait and listen for our opening in Diplomacy, such as it is in war.
^“I find I don't learn a lot while I'm talking”
Good luck tho
Oh Dennis, your endless campaigns for presidency make me weep buckets of joy tears.
Canada is gay in 3, 2, 1...

By best gay I mean most gay! Also slutty!
From my point of view, gay are always in shit.
Good luck Dennis
As Carl Von Clausewitz famously said Politics is the continuation of Politics by other means.
Foreign affairs is the continuation of War by other means.

"We have been able to keep large opponents bogged down in the quagmire that is an eCanadian campaign"
That's seems overly optimistic to me. I don't think the cro-masts are feeling bogged down over here. Bored, perhaps. Maybe even a little amused. But, bogged down? Hardly.
