[eNetherlands] A Horrible idea by our government.
F O S I T E
After 4 and a half year of playing this game, i finally was motivated enough to make a news paper considering i have dyslexia this is no fun for me, so the motivation was one forced on me by the following:
Some members of our Government seem to have gotten it in their heads that making a PNG(Persona Non Grata)(ban) list to keep people out of eNL (country and community by default) as a good idea.
I think this is a horrid idea and has no place in our community, the way I see it is that we can't just ban a person from our community much less by doing it "democratically" where a minority in power can make that decision. What also worries me is the possibility of abuse, people trying or successfully getting people on that list for more personal reasons than to make sure our community is served by it.
The reason behind this seems to be that cause blacklisting* doesn't work if people move to a foreign country for the duration of it, but just making a little adjustment to that law by making it work retroactive would fix that. A other concern that seemed to be is that people from a nation where at war with should be on there. But what if there are turncoats from that nation willing to fight for us? Unlikely as it is it happens we had some leave us for Norway during the war, but during our time of occupation Nayu joint us from Poland and has been a loyal citizen of our nation. And what about if China would do a Airstrike on us, would i not be allowed back? I am a community holder and loyal to eNL but i would than be in a country where at war with.
I urge all Citizens of eNetherlands to speak your mind on this, cause i can not belief i am the only person that finds the idea of a Persona Non Grata list a terrible idea.
The debate is going on on the forum, so if people also please speak out there to try and stop this, cause this soon will be putt to the vote, do not let this happen.

I do think that implementing a PNG list will protect our Country. We only need to make sure, we use it as an option of last resort. For example when a group of people/MU or something else is rumoured to plan a PTO. There are more examples we can think of to put people on that list, but again, only as option of last resort to keep our Country safe.
If such information comes up just write it down, and a MoHA looking into the case can make that decision with out the need for such a list. We seem to have manged so far doing it this way, this is not gone improve anything. All it posses is a huge risk of getting abused, both blacklist and MoNC have been attempted to be used in such ways, and some could argue with a few blacklist cases that to be the case as well seeing as some get on it while others do not for exact same things. But the blacklist is temporally and only removes someone from the political aspect of the community for a time, this is about removing people incidentally from the community as a whole.
PNG is also temporally. And again only as option of last resort.
6. a Persona Non Grata is in effect for a indefinitely amount of time
Well unless congress say´s it is time to get a person off, and yea i know says CP and MoHA can do to but congress can overturn such decision. So we gone have freaking ping pong match with a list of banned people pending which parties get the most congress seats?
It is a bad idea, just making blacklist work retroactive fixes the problem all the all the same, with out adding risk of abuse, and unnecessary added procedures to the list of the bureaucratic mess.

well I'm not really for a PNG list, nor really against one either. Blacklisting has also gone out of hand, but on the other side (congress)tax and penalty evasion seems to happen also more often.
I would also be against a PNG list I everyone plays by the book.
