New Era supports Sir Humphrey Apppleby
General Marley
This term we had a vote on who our members would like to support this term as we thought that would be the best way our members could voice their opinion and right vote. Unfortunately we were a bit late and didn't realise the 2nd day was the last day we could do so but never the less we show our support to Sir Humphrey Appleby.
The votes came in of a total of 15
Sir Humphrey Appleby: 11
Ragnell: 1
None of the above: 3
It however should be noted that party members still hold the right and freedom of who to vote for who they wish to vote for. I'd also like to say good luck to all CP candidates o7
All hail eUK
All hail New Era

🙂
I think a free vote is the fairest platform for NE this term anyway 🙂
Much obliged for the show of support though
Am I surprised? No
Will this make much difference? No
It's not the difference that matters, what is important is that members have a voice and opinion and that it is voiced, members chose to support Sir Humphrey Appleby and i'm simply stating it in an article. Also has stated members who wish to vote for someone else or not vote at all hold that right to do so.
Am I surprise you made a dull comment? No
Will the comment make any difference to anything? No
Sexagenarian is the only one that truly gets is. You bots are making this game less interesting with each day and each repetitive political comment you type.
Prof. J. Moriarty FTW.
1) This opinion is hardly a party stand since not even 50% of members have voted and they had only several hours to do so.
2) Party members were informed about voting only via party feed. Most people don't check out party feed and get no notifications for messages on it (unless their own).
3) The answers were badly phrased and insulting to other candidates. All candidates deserve equal chance.
Prof. J. Moriarty is leagues above political bots Ragnell and Appleby. His one article is more interesting than all political articles combined, published for this pathetic, repetitive CP campaign.
Good luck to everyone.
Between 70%-80% of members were actually messaged to vote. Considering the voting is tomorrow and even though we was too late we still had to end the vote and there were plenty of time for people to vote and not only several hours as you suggested The listed options were as of accord because Ragnell and Sir Humphrey had asked for our support. They were also an option to vote for none of the above. Also it was stated that everyone had the right to vote for anyone they wanted to vote or no matter the outcome. Just because you found a certain article more interesting doesn't mean others didn't, this is a democratic party not a party that dictates to the opinion of one member. Conseing the state the party is in at the moment i'm sure that next term and terms to come things will be much more organised.
In any democracy people have a reasonable time to show up and vote. The minimum in a game like this is 24 hours.
Prof. J. Moriarty is not NONE of the above. He IS above.
I don't say this is your fault, just that 15 people barely represent the majority of New Era and that it's not a hard thing to include all candidates in answers.
Whilst I agree it's always a stronger position with more votes, would you have us drag people kicking and screaming into the voting booth? Currently voting is seen as a social responsibility, you don't do prison time for abstaining. And while I don't agree with not voting, I can understand enough of the idea behind not voting to know my position is moral relativity not an absolute truth. Thus I know it is both unwise and wrong to impose my will on another.
Getting back on track, everyone who wanted to vote (save those particularly busy as noted) had an email sent out to them several days ago. Seeming as we discussed when the poll should end, and the concern over if it was too late, I really don't see how it could have been done much better. The internal vote is something we believe in within New Era and try to offer the ability to vote in this manner at every possible opportunity, that said the elected leader is within rights to make such an executive call.
As General Marley stated, we received two policies by early submission for our consideration. We all took the time to read and discuss, Your passionately favoured candidate was not one of them.
I fail to see how impassionate selection of responses offered can be seen as insulting. As stated already, the actual vote that counts is coming up soon, this was merely an opportunity for our party to show it's support - an action that has little benefit to anyone than strengthening ties. The vote while not to your liking was unanimously in favour from those received.
Good luck to all of the candidates for President and good luck to New Era going into the future.
sorry, I am late in voting.
