Turmoil Rages In Russia

Moscow,Russia- Zero hour has dawned in the land of the midnight sun as hundreds of Norwegian troops flood into Russia in the far north regions of Europe. Despite holding the defensive advantage Russia has been losing more fights then they have been winning. This is probably due to the fact that Russia's market lacks weapons and the penalty for not having a weapons cancels out the defenders bonus.

The president of Poland has delivered a slap in the face to Russia. Just before the war broke out the president of Poland had canceled their mutual protection pact with Russia in hopes of self preservation. Unfortunately for him the pact stays in effect until May 3rd, so his hopes of staying out of the war have failed leaving him in a war with a superior power and a scared reputation among world leaders. In todays general elections he is currently being beaten badly as he only has one vote to the front runners thirteen.

Even with the support of Poland however the Russians are being pushed back. With over a hundred occupying Norwegians in Russia it appears that their fate for today is sealed as a day of defeat however Russia has a unique advantage. Due to its large size it will take the Norwegian forces four full days of fighting to conquer all of Russia barring the possibility of Russia making a defensive stop. This time could be enough for international support to arrive from Indonesia and Pakistan and give much needed to relief to the Russians as otherwise they will make their last stand on Monday in both the Caucasus regions and their regions far out on the Pacific coast.

Indonesia and Pakistan may be allied with Russia but the amount of help they send may be not be as much as normal as they are both also allied with Germany, who is also being invaded by the second member of the Scandinavian alliance, Sweden, on the southern front. However the Romanian president may give support to Russia as they are not currently allied with Germany.

Poland is also in a tight spot now, it is likely that withing a few days they will be surrounded to the east and west by the Scandinavian military powers, Sweden to the west and Norway to the east. Them also being dragged into war by a mutual protection pact may just have cost them the use of their own should Norway be able to invade Poland as well once they share a border. For example Poland is now at war with Norway yet none of the countries they had Mpps with have joined in since Poland was not the direct defender. We will have to wait and see how this pans out but Norway may of just gotten the opportunity to take two countries for the price of one.

The biggest threat of all of Norway controlling Russia is the fact that the middle east is like a heavily congested highway while Russia is a less crowded free way. If Norway wanted to have a border with China and take that area they have two choices, fight hard thought battles through Romania,Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan all putting up incredibly heavy resistance or just take Russia with little resistance. Russia's long border makes them incredibly valuable for a nation looking to expand as it gives them the opportunity to wage offensive wars into more countries.

If Norway does conquer Russia the threat of invasion goes beyond just Asia but to North America as well. This just shows how quickly the threat of invasion can spread if countries are not prepared. More to come tomorrow in day three of the Viking wars.
