[DoE] Meet the Parties - AMP

Day 2,365, 09:58 Published in USA USA by Department of Citizen Affairs

The party we have chosen for today’s article is The American Military Party. The same set of questions was asked to both of the party representatives. In choosing representatives, I simply took anyone from the leadership, Congressional members, and other well-known members of the party.

AMERICAN MILITARY PARTY

For my AMP Interview, I did a double interview with John Largo and Alexander Valkor II.

John Largo and Alexander Valkor II

1. Why did you join this Party?

John Largo - The American Military Party (AMP) was founded to represent the voiceless fighters in private MUs. That is the main reason I joined. Over time we have expanded our mission to represent fighters in both public and private MUs, but we still strive to better our nation by striving for inclusion of all loyal eAmericans.

Alexander Valkor II - I actually co-founded the modern AMP with Haliman around the time of the JCS-Congress split. Due to the severe polarization in the country and the lack of a united voice for the eUS Military and other non government MUs, we decided to form the AMP from the ashes of the US Defense Party (where I was PP, but rage quit on my election day). Haliman and I wanted a party where members of the eUS Military and other MUs (my Deputy Chief of Staff at the time, John Jay, was a member of Easy Company) would have (1) a united voice in the political arena and (2) help those who had little or no political experience, but were "military minded" to have a common ground to start moving into politics.

2. What does this party do for the eUSA as a whole?

John Largo - This party is the bedrock of the eUSA. You will find AMPers throughout our country's leadership, from our best MUs, to Congress, to the Executive team. We create a fun atmosphere that welcomes both newcomers and veterans, and the best of the best rise to the top and represent our great party.

Alexander Valkor II - The AMP's first major political adversary was the United States Workers Party and continues to be so to this day. This is largely due to the fact the AMP would rather stand against the status quo of bigger, more intrusive and controlling government, and instead an eUS Government that fosters cooperation instead of disunity and bitter partisanship.

3. What are the main principles that guide your party?

John Largo - AMP represents democracy, embodied in our presidential and congressional primaries.
AMP supports our nation's varied MUs, and helps advance military leaders into the realm of politics.
AMP helps educate and bring along the next generation of leaders through our War College and Education Forums as well as one on one training from our nation's leading AMPers.

Alexander Valkor II - American Self Reliance. American Self Determination. Respect for our national allies (traditional and current). A strong "Citizen-Soldier", who can be active in the military, while retaining a voice in their government.

4. What does this party do for its members?

John Largo - AMP offers Education, Leadership Development, Political Advancement, and lots of FUN

Additionally there is support for our members (Food & Tank supplies, and the AMP Lottery) on our forums here: http://www.ampforums.info/forum/index.php

Alexander Valkor II - The AMP gives members a place for players of all parts of this game to come together in support of a cause for strong American exceptionalism. We are not imperialistic, but we recognize that some of us are writers, some are Soldiers and some are politicians. Though we're not all of those, we're all some of those and the party brings people together to (1) fight for America and (2) develop a strong sense of unity across various eProfessions.

5. What does this party do to get players (especially newer ones) involved?

John Largo - AMP offers a fun environment for both new and older players. We feed and Weaponize our new members and get them started with party jobs that lead to party leadership, Congress, and beyond. We build the Leaders of Tomorrow.

Alexander Valkor II - In the last several months, the AMP has started a "University" of sorts, to help players get more involved in areas that interest them. Through our experienced leadership and membership, there is a large amount of individuals who are capable of providing mentorship and advice to help empower newer individuals. Those that show interest and activity are usually offered a job on the Round Table (AMPs executive leadership), or at least made aware they can apply for available jobs, to get experience and work for someone who can teach them more about the game.

6. One line on why a member should join your Party?

John Largo - We're awesome, we're expanding, and we're offering upwards mobility to people with the motivation to take it.

Alexander Valkor II - Feel the AMPs!
