The Norwegian Economic Cooperative is a group of wizened old veterans who believe that Norway's best way to gain recognition is through Economic dominance.


What does the Norwegian Economic Cooperative advocate?
We firmly believe that through smart Economic policies (Low Taxes, helpful social programs, and smart use of our treasury) success in other fields will be much easier.

To help you understand this method of thinking, I'll give you an example.
A new player joins eRepublik. He's a proud Norwegian, and within his first day of play one of our experienced members (many of whom play for hours a day but have little to do but look at maps and talk to other experienced members ;_😉 is pointed in his direction. This new player has already received an automated PM directing him towards several helpful places including our forum (this board specifically http://forum.erepublik.no/viewforum.php?f=10&sid=a7e43325b4c7981793655f1c6d21ec8a) and certain guides that will allow this new player to thrive where others might fail.

One big thing is Economic Education. All players should be given this basic right, as it is tantamount to the right to succeed in eRepublik. New players who blow all their gold on CC for weapons and candy bars to get to level 20 have just wasted months of potential strength growth and the gold to match.

If everyone is educated on the proper way to grow their holdings to maturity and once there grow responsibly, we'll have a much stronger base tax due to our players having healthier factories and training facilities, both growing supply (factory production) and demand (gold reward from q4 free training). This increases our military capacity by giving everyone more money and weapons to fight with and by allowing us to sign more MPPs with other nations due to our higher tax income.

With a more powerful Norway Economically and Politically, the job of our diplomats and congressmen has become much easier (compensating for the higher demands we'll place on them in regards to training new citizens and making sure all Norwegians are on the track to success). Norway has never had a shortage of MPP targets, and with Norway looking stronger than ever, this should never be more true than at this point. Norway will be out of the doghouse and rise to a nation with some status, some weight to it. Look to brother Finland and Sweden to see the possibilities. We lack many of the programs they have, but using their example and displaying the passion to surpass our comrades and our enemies, we should rise above them in due time.

Who is a part of the Norwegian Economic Cooperative?


This month our three congressmen are highly experienced and incredibly loyal Norwegians. In fact, out of the three I (a multi-year veteran with half a dozen congress terms) is the least experienced of the three. Both Che and Endymionis have been President of Norway more than once, and if I wasn't such a schmuck I'd be half as cool as them.

The bread and butter of our party are those who realized the other parties didn't have policies that lended themselves to success and so settled in the NEC to have a substantial impact on future events.

I invite you all to join the Norwegian Economic Cooperative and give us a try before the next congress elections. If you don't find us satisfactory you can leave and still vote for your old party. I hope you find us reasonable, though, and come to share our views on the driving force of the game, Economics.
