Belgian Community in Relations to Global Statistics
Konrad Neumann
Referring to Cika's recent article about the state of eBE politics, he concludes that eBE is on the verge of death due to low voter turn outs. He claims that eBE has a voter turnout of 15.34 percent in our last CP election. While the number is low but it is the norm. It is the norms not just of eBE but of all countries in the world. I do however, find it problematic where he tries to link the wipe to voter turnout. For this if we look at it statistically and logically, has no causation and correlation at all. Here is a list of 40 countries and their percentage of voter turn outs. I did round up and down base on the number for a neat presentation.
eBE: 15 percent
eNL 22 percent
eUK 17 percent
eGer 19 percent
eUS 18 percent
ePL 21 percent
eSwiss 16 percent
eIt 17 percent
eBr 8 percent
eArg 20 percent
eBelarus 15 percent
eIndo 16 percent
eEsp: 17 percent
eFr: 17 percent
eRU: 20 percent
eNor: 16 percent
eJP: 23 percent
eTaiwan: 18 percent
eSer: 22 percent
eBul: 21 percent
eCan 19 percent
eDen: 15 percent
eCro 22 percent
eRom: 25 percent
ePH: 20 percent
eAussie: 14 percent
eSwe: 19 percent
eTur: 21 percent
eGre:30 percent
eHun 30 percent
eIre 34 percent
eCZ 18 percent
eIndia: 16 percent
eMon 21 percent
eNK: 12 percent
eSK: 4 percent
eSlo: 28 percent
ePT: 17 percent
eISR: 15 percent
eSing 13 percent
Average is 18.775 percent
Overall, the numbers hovers around 15-20 percent. While there are extremes in the case of Brazil, South Korea and countries like Greece, Hungary, and Ireland, many countries like Spain, France, Belarus, UK has similar voter turn outs. Therefore, one cannot declare the wipe as a direct causation of low voter turnout for there is no factual evidence to support it. In addition, this shows that low voter turnouts is the norm. All countries do have a political active community but they are always in the minority of the overall population. As case and point, of the 31 countries here, the average percentage of this minority is 18.775 percent. Despite the rhetoric of some who likes to shout against the wipe with made up rants. Despite using romanticism and declarations that sounds nice on paper but makes no practical or logical sense, these statistics here shows that eBE in general is not much different from our neighbors and other countries in the world.
In closing There is no correlation between low voter turnout rates in relations to the wipe. Low voter turnout rates is a common phenomenon that exist in big, small, wiped, and non-wiped countries a like.

First 🙂 Nice article
The problem : we have belgians but in each country ...
He must see several players are not voting, they don't see the interest to do that.
nice article.
voted !! o7
I pretty much agree with you Konrad. On top of that the total population in eBelgium has remained stable for a while either and I cannot say that there has been any visible impact of the wipe in eBelgium (even most players who left in the past were likely to have left anyway).
Great article, well done with facts
Propaganda.
Those are the true facts
Lots of text like usually; this time combined with some statistics. Accurate presentation in general terms.
eSer: 22 percent population: 12k+/-
eBE: 15 percent population: 500+/-
Nice math.
I'm talking: If you are looking on activity, we have like 70+/- active citizens. Many citizens of Belgium left because of wipe. I'm not saying all of them, but, many left. And, if you are so sure that wipe is still good solution, why there is no referendum about it?
P.S. Look media space of Belgium, GOV. articles only. Sometimes articles from tommot and sometimes article about PTO and spam. That's how Belgium is alive.
Nice that you decided to compare serbia and Belgium, because if you took Brasil your statement would have made no sense.
Well, I'm not the person who wrote article and compared countries with 12k citizens with Belgium.
Media activity is low even in much larger countries at times. It tends to spike around elections and during times when people are particularly interested in a political issue, just as it did in eBe recently. With regard to the perceptions, eSerbia is approximately as much above the average as eBe is below it. My interpretation would be that it has more to do with the culture of the community than with the particular status of the country, not to mention that eSerbia is central to the new alliance, Asteria, a position small countries will not have in any circumstances.
go back to eUK, traitor!
Thanks for such a mature and insightful comment, PTOer.
Meh... I'm not person who compared big countries (citizens) with Belgium. I'm saying that eBE is dying, because there is no activity. You can see that in all past GOVS. are same people (exept Christijan). xD
But that is true in many eCountries, even large and fairly active ones. The same people serve over and over again. Look at the past governments even in Poland and the US. Look at our neighbors in the Netherlands and look at Switzerland. Governments keep having the same people because those are the ones willing to do the work.
Funn to hear you say that Shadow seeing you fled to eUK when eNL and eBE was merged. We could have said the same to you back then
Incorrect TheValeyard, I was in eUK before they merged. But how would you know that? It was before your time. In fact, I started out in eUK as part of a larger group from the UKCS community (hence my name) and moved between eBE and eUK for some time in an effort to boost the activity in eBE
btw MQ: don't you have a eUK treasury to plunder? it would be a nice addition to the gold already taken from eBE
I have not taken any gold from eBe,, unlike you, who stole a state MU and refused to pay back a state loan, I have the gold that was entrusted to me at the disposal of the legitimate government of eBe at any time. You can check the publicly available spreadsheets to see how much that is. The other bank managers will also tell you that I offered to return all eBelgian funds and step down as bank manager some time before I actually made the move to eUK. They declined my offer at that time, but it still stands.
Bad article.Fake and gay...No vote
Truth there is. But eBelgium was a lot more active before and we are going lower faster than others (you can make the maths).
So yeah, regarding the overall we are still ok. But few months before we'd been above the average.
Where did you get the numbers? Because I'd like to make some calculations myself about voter turnout.
You calculate yourself.
We did that months ago. http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/random-sad-news-2354759/1/20
I don't have the numbers anymore... Ask TC. I believe he has some numbers. But i'm not saying it's false, i'm saying our negative trend might be faster than others.
Vote..Nice😁
