Part one: The Southern Front

Berlin, Germany- The moment of truth has come in the Reichstag. Today Sweden has become the first country to declare its second war as their president has proposed war on their newest neighbor, Germany. Congress is currently casting their votes but with a 16-3 count in favor of war the enactment of this proposal is imminent.

After a successful military campaign through Denmark Sweden had created a new border with Germany to their south. Unlike past pushover wars nations have taken part in this one may be a bit difficult for the Swedes to win. All though the Swedes have a clear military advantage of 33,658 to a mere 1,685, Germany is winning the PR battle. Three countries have allied with Germany yet none will officially be apart of the war as their pacts will not come into play until May 2nd. The signing of these alliances by Germany are said to be justification for the invasion by the Swedish president claiming that they planed to expand into Germany later and that it would be difficult once these pacts came into play

The Pakistan troops will be helpful though. Despite being beat up in Manitoba the Pakistanis have recovered well and if their god emperor gets elected he will most likely send them to help out in Germany, Indonesia will help as well. The Swedes also played a role in the North American War but on the opposite side choosing to back Canada. If the major powers keep their promise with Germany the Germans have a chance.

The Germans are also advantaged geographically. The Swedes will be force to invade from the north and unless they are able to launch an amphibious assault in Pomerania they will only be able to take one territory on the first day of fighting and the Germans will have four days to make a stop before being overrun.

European nations must start to take precautions. Should Sweden succeed with the invasion of Germany they will border seven more nations and their strength is enough to take on most of those and their allies. If Sweden can manage to stay away from taking territories south of Germany that would make them border Mediterranean power Italy they may also soon be able to impose their will upon eastern nations that do not border Romania.

Sweden is too powerful for any nearby nations to invade offensively but they are not too powerful to be contained should the nations ally with each other to stop the Swedish advance south into Europe all though not much is being prepared by these leaders who may lose their positions Tomorrow in the General elections.

Part Two, The Eastern Front, will be published tomorrow. There I will take an in depth look at the Norwegian-Russian war.
