[Weekstrom] on x/s
Weekstrom
As you all (hopefully) know Walhallah has written some excellent analyses about x/s and the need to stay as low level as possible and train as much as you can.
There was however a factor of large influence that he didn't take into account if I followed my gut feeling. I never had the time to actually look into it better.
This afternoon it popped to mind again when I reacted on a post of Walhallah so here we go;
When looking at x/s the numbers used are as follows; To the amount of strength gained due to your training facilities an average bonus of 1.8 strength is added due to the daily worker bonus you claim. The same goes for xp. As you work in a company and train in at least 1 facility you gain 3 xp plus 1.8 bonus. So let’s assume you only have the starting facility of 5 strength. That would mean on average you gain 6.8 strength a day. Also you gain 4.8 xp. That means for every 6.8 strength you need 4.8 xp which leads to 0.706 xp per strength point. Now what happens if you don’t claim the bonus? Then you need 3 xp for 5 strength. Or 0.6 xp per strength point. Which is much better.
If you look at all the most logical combinations that can be trained with that looks like this;
So if you want to stay low in level for as long as possible; Don’t claim the bonus. Once you’re D4 you can claim the bonus as xp is of no concern at that point any more.

What bonus do you mean?
lol
The five day reward or something else?
Yes, the daily task reward
the daily task reward is 1 strenght daily and 5 strenght every 5 days. which averages a 1.8 gain.
Well, there is only one bonus giving you 1.8 xp and str bonus a day so it can only be the work and train bonus I'd say? unless you know other ones?
If I'm correct you get 2XP per training action in a facility. Did you check it?
yes
I thought it was 1 for training, but I didn't actually check before writing. Working gives you 2 that's for sure. And looking at some egov stats from some players that I know of they only train and work you're most likely right indeed. So the xp you get is higher and the percentage of influence of the bonus lowers a bit but the conclusion stays the same.
Yes, the XP is 2 for training and 2 for working. I train in 4 grounds and do work. I gaing 10xp without the bonus.
Weekstrom, thanks for articles like this.
did you consider that there are several ways to look at this:
1) if your X/S is above 1, getting the daily bonus will bring your X/S down whereas if your X/S is below 1, the daily bonus will bring it up.
2) its true that training alone is the most effective activity in terms of X/S, but most people dont do only training. If you compare to a players completely daily intake of XP, such as doing DO, getting the bonus may be worthwhile.
Thanks for kicking off this discussion. I was also thinking about this indeed. you beat me to it. 😃
@1; True on the short term as it brings youre average down faster. Untrue in the long run as the strength amount you have reaching the next level will be lower as to where you wouldn't use the bonus.
@2; I Know. It's only an addition for those that try, on the days they don't fight. to stay as low as possible. Just like with the aim, of your articles about it.
small correction on 1. It is true ofc, but when looking in the long run unwise.
hmmm, yes thats actually a good point. Training one day later at 90 compensates for 90/1,8 = 50 days of daily bonuses, at the expense of 8 XP rather than 90 XP from the bonuses.
pooh, its not easy to click the notification away 🙂 feel tempted to take the bonus very much. but now i wont anymore
