Dear Citizens of ePakistan,
Assalam-o-Alaikum!
This is my first article as Minister of Finance, as you all know I was appointed on this position by our beloved Country President TheCaliph. I am thankful to him for considering me trustworthy and appointing me to serve ePakistan.
SSo89 was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance. So, we will try our best to fix prices of products in ePak market but it's not easy to do because of the messed up economy.
🙂
Best Regards,
Minister of Finance
Vice President of Democratic Party of Pakistan

Bilal, apart from the fact that it is hardly possible in the game, it is not the responsibility of government to fix product prices on the market. What you need to aim as the MoF is to provide the environment and atmosphere that encourages activity and competition in the market. Your aim should be to increase the volume of trade on ePak market. Actions by some previous individuals on this post have completely killed the activity on our market, you may consider beginning to undo some of that damage.
Lowing the price by finding new ppl selling on our market, that's the more efficient solution. I think that's what Bilal meant.
But I partly disagree with you dodial, you can try to fix prices on the market because pakistan is a very small country (and the prices are very high). Let me explain what I have in mind. If you find motivated players who don't care about IG money (me for instance 😛 ), you could create state companies, in which citizen make goods with a low salary. That way, you could provide food with a decent price on the market (the point is not to make money but permit to the average pakistani to save some money on foods and Q7), and since the pakistani market is not so active, he could work 🙂
I think we are both trying to make the same point with regards to higher market volumes. We did have a respectable volume (even if not great) before some clever individual proposed import blockades on the market. I argued that we did not have enough local production to support healthy competition but alas..
Any way, now that we have a reasonable person as MoF I suggest that import duty be dropped to around 2% on both food and weapon. This will allow for better priced product on our market and encourage increase local trade volume consequently raising tax receipts.
About fixing prices, you cant really fix a price, you can only subsidize the sale of products on local market, but that will need constant funding and I donot think would be a good idea.
All that you stated as a goal of price fixing can be achieved by opening up the markets and this would bring in more money instead of requiring a constant fund
What you said is entirely true in the world where multis don't exist. I think you don't realize how much money Pakistan earned by increasing the Import Tax ; it's dirty and I do not approve, but that's the way it is, sadly. I will say no more, I hope you know what Im talking about. But now, yes, lowing the Import Tax seems a very accurate respond to our problem (I just wanted to let you know that MoF before Bilal were not all noobs 💋 )
Well, government policy cannot and should not be designed around multis. Besides, there are many other ways of shifting multi money which are less detrimental to the general market.
@toto
i have never seen a single day in pakistan when our total population has gone upto 500 citizen. we are not multies heaven from any angle.
what exactly we are doing is scarifying our active ppl's need(around 50-100 ppl) to facilitate 5-10 multies on daily basis.
We are not serbia/poland where they make 100- 300 multies on daily basis.
@aovelhanegra You misunderstood me. Multi are not created with pakistani citizenship. They are created outside, and then, they bought expensive offers made by a stranger on the pakistan market. That way, with the Import tax at 99%, money goes to the Pakistan account...
And btw, there are also a lot of multis at each elections, evn though they are ban the next day 🙂
