The results of the referendum are in. As a population Canada has voted to leave Asgard. 60.7% of the voters chose that Canada leave Asgard. I will honour this decision and the law has already been proposed, seen here. I expect the congress that we elect tomorrow will accept the results and vote yes.

Our allies in Asgard have already been informed. They understand and in no way does this affect our relationship with them. Finland, Sweden and Norway will stay our allies and we will continue to fight for each other against TWO occupiers.

Our chapter in Asgard has ended, all 168 days of it, it is time to start a new one. Sometime in the future either I or my successor will arrange another referendum to see what direction we want to go, but first, we need to finish getting back our regions from Spain.

Congress

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate our soon to be congress members! You will be making some key decisions to end this month.

Among those decisions we will be changing the work tax. At the moment the agreed level is 1%, while our economy recovers and citizens start returning to eCanada. I will issue an Executive Order to get is changed immediately. My MoF team will start to record the data, so when the time comes we can change it again to a competitive level that works for us.
