[President SORA] Age of R extended

Day 2,089, 21:45 Published in Philippines Republic of China (Taiwan) by Analia Arnheim
Al Raposas first (fifth) State of the Republic Address

Filipinos and foreigners alike, greetings.

Once again, I would like to thank the people for putting their trust on me this August. In the first hours of the elections, the initial results were close. I want to express my gratitude to the most gracious God for this victory. This is now my second term as President of the Philippines.

After the elections last August 5 (Day 2085), it is I, Al Raposas, who won for Country President. Foreign affairs of many countries, including our NaN allies, congratulated and gave me their government list. I therefore open my Cabinet to the citizens. There are still some slots that needed to be occupied. Just send a message to the respective ministers if you wanted to apply for a position.

It is up to the minister in Foreign Affairs how they will manage their ambassadors (especially to NaN allies). Each minister (excluding vice ministers) will be given 150 PHP salary every week once they submit to me a summarized report of their progress in the government set goals. I ordained vice ministers to increase citizen participation in the government. This will make our people feel they are always part of the process to progress.

Now some of the citizens may think that in these past days, I have been inactive and am enjoying my political honeymoon. First of all, I have no one to spend my honeymoon with (she's busy with RL; no pun intended). Another thing, I was trying to organize the government to achieve the last of the three R announced a month ago: restoration.

In four days, the National Shield tournament will be over. This tournament is based on percentage, rather than raw damage. That is why by the time of publication, we are ranked 32nd of 70 countries. Fight my countrymen so that we can maintain the position, giving us a chance to win the Q4 Defense Shield (which can absorb 4 billion damage). Another thing, there are individual rewards, too.

So far, the Philippines already received reward from the ongoing tournament, but we have to wait for Congress elections (on the 25th of the month) to gain access to this. If we have access this month, I plan to progressively distribute some of the gold to the participants of the tournament. That is, those in the higher notches were to receive more than those in the lower ones.

In the past Military Units tournament, two of the five AFP units (military units under government command) reached the national top three. PSF, which ranked fourth, only lagged behind the third spot by around 1 million damage. With this new term, we expect more coordination inside the AFP units to garner better results.

One more thing, the supply program will commence today, Day 2090. The form had a typo saying it only accommodates citizens up to Level 33. Actually, we now expanded it to Level 36. Answer the form now and get your supplies: http://goo.gl/SbQcef

Talks have once again commenced for the Philippines to have regions for Congress. I am now currently talking to China (our occupier), Indonesia (by TW contract with China, our supposed occupier), Pakistan (whose previous president told me they will invade us), Taiwan (which borders Luzon and forms a threat as well), and some TWO officials (only Mexico had messaged me so far). We had received some encouraging initial answers, but let us fervently hope that they will put up an agreement with us soon.

We are also sending our first Consul and Proconsul to NaN, namely the Minister and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, respectively. Our first Tribune and Centurion to NaN are the Minister and Vice Minister of Defense. I will maintain my position as Assembly Representative, and kb1992 will be replaced by Vincenzo Roque as one of the two Assembly Delegates. This is all due to the acceptance of the Philippines as full member on August 2, long before the official NaN decision to vote for our full membership on August 10.

As of the moment, Day 2089, the treasury now stand at around 22,000 PHP. A full 2,100 PHP rise from Day 2083 (around 11% increase). This was done with zero regions at all. As seen from the past month, our financial standing is expected to grow by 6% every week. However, even with the new work taxes enforced by Plato, we can't expect this figure to change since we can't provide any jobs here while we still lack regions.

With NaN members going out one by one, with Saudi Arabia being the latest to leave, I have proposed this basketball competition to foster unity among the remaining members. The Philippines will be the host nation. Well, Nan did start with 3 countries. With this, maybe some ray of hope can still be seen to radiate in NaN.

Lastly, I am forming a population growth team. Our population only had a net growth of 11 from July 5 to August 5 (a mere 4😵, but we need more to be able to defend our regions if given that chance to liberate them. All you need to do is to invite 10 new and reliable citizens every week. Contact me, Al Raposas, if you want to join.

Yours truly,
Al Raposas
