Beste burgers van eNederland,
Zoals de meeste mensen weten, ben ik na mijn verkiezing direct begonnen met de onderhandelingen met Polen. Helaas moet ik meedelen, dat het niet gelukt is om tot een overeenkomst te komen.
We hebben goede opbouwende gesprekken gehad met Polen, die beetje bij beetje dichter bij een goede overeenkomst kwamen. Maar voor dat we het hebben kunnen afronden, werd de Poolse President uit zijn ambt gezet. Er is nog geprobeerd om de onderhandelingen voort te zetten met de nieuwe President, waar helaas weinig tijd voor overgebleven is.
Uiteindelijk was het enige waar hij op in kon gaan, een deal met een kleine financiële vergoeding per maand. Aangezien Nederland hier in het verleden duidelijk over is geweest, heb ik dat moeten afwijzen. Over alternatieve regelingen is op dit moment niet meer te praten.
Ik geloof nog steeds dat de weg naar een oplossing, via onderhandelingen zal moeten lopen. Ik hoop dat de volgende President opnieuw naar ruimte in onderhandelingen zal zoeken.

As most of the people know, I started directly after the elections, with the negotiations with Poland. I am sorry to state, we did not find a way to make an agreement.
We had good and constructive meetings with Poland. We worked on a good agreement for both countries. But before we could finalize it, the Polish President got impeached. We tried to continue the negotiations with the new President, but there was little time left.
The final offer was a deal based on a small amount of rent each month. As the community was clear on this in the past, I declined this offer. It was not possible at this moment to discuss other options.
I still believe, negotiations are the way to get this done. I hope the next President will look for options to start negotiations again.

Ik hoop overigens dat je op het Regeringsforum kunt specificeren wat 'kleine financiele vergoeding' concreet inhoudt, zodat we daar iets van kunnen vinden.

Can you release the terms of the negotiations you had so everyone can have an idea of what they were, how much etc.
I do not Believe our Negotiations are over yet.
There maybe 1 more option left to negotiate with Poland which may be an success.

I try to ignore this namecalling. It's always the same set of people who do it. Not a good example for their party.

this is an old poll. We now have a new situation at hand, and this deserves a chance. Also because you deserve the credits for your effors. And God knows we from [BG] love to be a pain in your bum. You are onto something good. Dont give up now.

It doesnt matter. The people are principally against any form of rent. Even if it was a very low amount.
That may change depending on the price of the negotiations. You said you would present the negotiations but you haven't, why can't people know how much the Polish were asking for?
In the en😛 5000 - 1 region. In the poll I organized I also asked if people where interested in deals with a small rent. The answer was a big no.
Is that per day? If not it's actually less than the rewards for having congress. If we had that we could get some shit done...

Well, in that case you cant consider it a payment because it is actually a profit...
payment is a payment and IMO when we start paying again we'll never get an agreement without paying.
Also who says that they will be sattisfied with 5K every month???, if they decide that after a few months the ammount has to be raised to 10K we'll be f*ed again.
So IMO we need to be patient keep talking to them and try to get atleast 1 region for free..... and any payment now will undermine that future negotiations position completely.
All it will lead to is another blackmail & squeezing us dry agreement...
Well just one month would be enough imo. Having congress would solve many problems.
one deal is enough to mess up all EG & previous negotiators have achieved.
With striking a deal we're back to groundlevel..........also a deal in which payment of any kind is done....will only put the whole country in a position to be blackmailed all over again.
So patience and stubborness is pretty much the way to go IMO.
Finally we start to break through to the polish oppressors to make em see that a deal without payment is profitable for both equally.
And now that progress is made how small it is , is not the time to derail that with striking up a quick deal to have congress next month.....
As if congress can solve all problems we have for months now .....
So be patient and give them some time to wiggle our ass out of the bad position......
