No Power to the people!
Wilpanzer
The night is dark. You can hear dogs barking, doors shutting and opening, cars rumbling about and matches being lit...
What's happening!?
You call your neighbor:
You: "Hello, is your power off too?"
Neighbor: "Yes, didn't you get the schedules?"
You: "Ah fraking postman!"
(This has indeed happened to me many a time)
You've just been left - in the DARK!
What does it mean to be in the dark?
- There's no electronic functionality
- No distribution or reception for information
- Basically no entertainment other than drinking and braaiing(BBQ)
What happens when a country gets left in the dark?
You get airstriked for no disclosed reason.
If you're lucky you could accidentally stumble upon the apparent enemy's CP who informs you regarding the matter at hand
Let's get to the point then. The flow of information on forum and in-game is now set at a minimal rate. Let me remind you what we could've heard from our government, but had to find out ourselves.
eAustralia has left NaN:
Cody is a consul in NaN
Grimstone and Fhaemita are in foreign affairs.
Did we hear anything from them?
Does anyone in government have anything to say about eAustralia leaving NaN?
eRussia proposed an airstrike:
Did our CP write an article explaining the interrim(preliminary settlement) situation to us?
Yes, very faintly
Congress saw us asking questions in-game. Why didn't they explain the situation to us?
Anyone in eSA can really put eSA's government on the chopping block. One can even objectively justify calling eSA a dictatorship/aristocracy/monarchy etc. because the motto used by our own CP - Amandla, Awethu. Power to the people. really doesn't reflect on how he's dealing with the current situation. It's more like: "We know what we're doing, just let us handle everything, we'll notify you guys when it's too late to turn back"
o7 to Li, Nickerball and the MoS team for caring because that's perhaps the biggest luxury one can get in eSA. We're just way too apathetic to even think about liberation! Who's going to care about foreign relations when we're not going to have to choose MPPs approved by Brazil?
This is mismanagement, poor delegation, undermining, deceitful and undemocratic.
Don't see this as an isolated incident. eSA's public has been kept out of the loop for too long! Grimstone's government and various governments before him have declined disclosing information to the public for the overt reason of "not trying to feed misinformation to the public while negotiations are still in tact". What's that? We are basically 120 people who mean the world to eSA:
Locutus: the hardline eSouth African. An uncompromising presence in eSA.
Rexdeus: Reminds us all that eBrazil is less renter, more occupier.
Adunit: pops up now and then, but not afraid to acknowledge the truth
Leon: a hell of a soldier
Henock: if you want more comments in your article, mention him!
Luc Praetor: eSA's best writer
The Macedonians: hard hitters. They showed eSA how a MU should be run.
Kaptein Balsak: a legend, quiet, but still deals damage
SM333ZA: secretly conspiring to take over the world
😉
Dule87: went through hell to prove himself a legitimate citizen. He fought loyally for eSA every day on #eSAAF-MA
El Fidel: he's still kicking BHs!
Rusty Kuntz: the guy's still drunk and commenting on Leon's articles
Enbaros: a much valued politician who's still politicizing
Marmaduke: wants a revolution
Jizzie: the guy wants to be CP, he also wants to give eBrazil a run for their money.
Saffa manne: the "new guy". He's determined and ready for action.
Don Vin: invented "The Hot Seat"
Samurai: been a loyal member of RISE and SAGP for a long time
Enriche: he doesn't show up much, but when he does...things happen
Josh Whitehea
😛that guy who ever so often writes hilarious articles
...and many more
These guys mentioned are new guys or rarely show up on forum. There are other higher-up classes of citizens also unappreciated.
Even if we disagree politically, we all contribute to the statistic that is the bigger picture, the freedom, the welfare, the sovereignty and the integrity of our country. Why is it so important that information must be dubbed too sensitive for the other 100 people who actually give a sh!t?
So government. Go on creating private messages. Keep vital info away from us. Neglect to tell us what the situation is, why we fight someone and why we like someone, because in the end you're going to lose in anyway. The more you marginalize your own citizens, the more they're going to "forget" to fight, "forget" to vote, "forget" to obey the law. Because you seem to have a great time "forgetting" to regarding us as 1st class citizens.
Thanks for reading.

Needs more Krimpie.
Pretty pathetic that I had to talk to an eRussia congressmen and the eRussia president both of which refused to give exact details of the agreement because wait for it...... Because I am not certified on eSA's forums and can't tell him what our congress has been saying about the proposed deal or if there has been a vote for it.
So to sum things up, I am being blackmailed by eRussia's CP to tell him what our congress has been saying or if there has been a congressional vote, to receive word on the details of this agreement.
All he could say is that Russia will rent a region of our land for compensation and potential military support. That is not much information at all. But the sad part is, it is still 100% more information than our leaders have told us. If the only information on the deal is on the sucky forums, how do we expect normal eSA citizens to care about our country or to become active???? Way to go eSA, way to go.
The Aus-NaN situation was a surprise to most people and most were in the dark. They (the eAus government and their rep) didn't post on the NaN forums about their intentions to leave so Cody Caine had no way of knowing when they were leaving to tell the public that information unless he is constantly monitoring the eAustralia in-game government page where he can constantly check their new law proposals, which I doubt he spends his time doing. : P So, you can't really blame him for that.
But, yes, overall communication is lacking quite a lot. The airstrike thing was something that really took me off-guard when I saw it. I had never heard anything about it and I'm actually a congress member so I understand that more communication is definitely needed with regards to that and, in general, with regard to just the general happenings in the government.
Where are the "yoda for CP" shouters?
Same place you were while you were CP...
Ejdatful's post was a quality burn, but Liquid just came back with lava. God I'm so proud of you guys \o/
So much burning. I hope we can all appreciate the awesomeness of them.
>>Cody is a consul in NaN
Then why does he get to run for CP? Isn't that aginst NaN charter?
I'm in congress and heard nothing. So who really was informed. Congress? Or select members of the community, some of which happen to be in congress?
I didn't know.
I didn't actually know about that rule until after the ballot was set.
I apologize, I know NaN HQ is dead on weekends.
I've actually been dead stinking sober since November! (Rather than just the usual dead and stinking). Someday, I'll be lucid enough to understand words in articles that aren't my name.
Miyagi can't take the heat, never could, never will. As soon as things gets hairy he runs and hides. He's probably the most useless CP I've seen in eSA, and I've seen a few over the last 5 years. Next time let's elect a transparent CP who puts the public before everything!
Good questions Wil.
Looking forward to some answers.
Voted!
Voted hard.
Your observations are on que as always.
Information is now worth more than gold in eSA. Dissapointed in the leadership in eSA. Almost as if everyone is waiting for next month, for a new CP to take the helm to make the real difficult decisions.
It's a continuous cycle and always benefits Brazil. They have so many little puppets here in eSA.
Bet the yoda supporters are kicking themselves now. I knew this would happen he was quiet before and is quiet now. Glad I didnt vote for him.
Yep and appartently im not qualified !
I originally voted for u then voted for Cody. U would at least communicate with us and Cody doesnt shut up for anyone not even the 'elite' in this country.
Wil is always spot on. I'll probably code something one day to auto vote him, I normally forget to do so. Not this time though.
