Another month, another run. Season two.

Salutations and greetings

Last month, I have been defeated by a large margin by Homer. No surprise to that, Homer has been largely popular in Canada and, if we are pragmatic for a minute, everyone can easily see that I stood no real chance against him. His and his government's activity has been irreproachable, and it was obvious that he could easily win a re-election. However, this month is different. And as some of my fellow party members have advised me, I have decided to run again for Country Presidency, for the term of June 2013.

I will not lie: I have originally expected the June term to be an easy one. The plan that we worked on during Homer's tenure looked so good that everything pointed towards Canada being liberated by the 5th of June. However, (as always, there is a 'however') external developments have made in such a way that this does not look possible anymore. Thus, the one who has to liberate Canada is the one who wins the June election. It will be a hell of a work, but everything is possible.

As Minister of Foreign Affairs, it is obvious that I focus on that domain. At the end of the day, we can all see that everything is connected to foreign affairs, even the liberation (or occupation) of Canada.

As President, I will try to continue the general policy of the Homer government that I deemed positive. But there are also some things that I didn't like. This month, we worked hard into getting closer with CoT, but we can all see that not enough has been done. It is my belief that we have to get a different approach in the relationship with CoT. And let's face it: most Canadians are tired of this occupation. Sure, there may be some that do not mind Canada being occupied, but they are surely not the majority. Not now. Our government has to work hard in getting Asgard and CoT as close as possible. And speaking of Asgard, I have a feeling that the popular opinion about the alliance we have been members of since this year started has changed, and as such, I find it most necessary that the government organises a poll about Canada's relationship with Asgard.

As for having Canada liberated, I still have hope in the original plan and I will try to get it done in the first days of my term, if I am elected. However, if it sorts out to not be working, I will change the approach, an approach which does not need to be secret: get ourselves as close as possible with all of TWO's enemies. Another strategy would be to sign an agreement with Spain, but as it sorted out, they are uncooperative. As President, I would never accept Spain's terms of paying for our own regions. It is a ridiculous demand that cannot even be discussed.

I could go on and talk about my other plans, especially internal affairs ones, but I think that our first duty is to get Canada back on the map. The rest can wait for another article, which would be written only if I win the primary in the CPF.

But first of all, the primary needs to happen and end.

I hope this preliminary article will get you an idea of how my government would be. And as a change in style, I'll also kindly respond to every question you put forward in the comments section below.
