[CP] The Final Update

Day 2,005, 04:20 Published in India Canada by Alias Vision

Yesterday my second son turned two. He's a tiny little guy and you always wonder how much he takes in because he tends to be more physical than verbal. Well pure joy needs no words. After a difficult day it was a balm to see and experience. I will never cease to wonder at how they have absolutely no filter. When you look into their eyes you see depthless pools of admiration, trust and love.

But why am I telling you this personal stuff? It is because beyond their guileless nature, children often offer you that rare gift of perspective. And perspective is something I desperately needed.

I needed perspective because I am, to quote my detractors, "a stubborn, egomaniac, dictator serb, who knows nothing about FA and has no plans". There was more than that (like UAGG PTO puppet) but I think it sums it up quite well.

I'll give my critics the stubborn part, you have to be when you take on a leadership role. If you are not at least a little bit stubborn than you can't follow your own narrative once everyone else priorities come crashing down on you.

The Great Betrayal.

This article is the culmination of everything that happened in the past 6 months but more specifically, all that has transpired since Albania proposed the air strike (AS) on India's last region.

As you all know, Albania proposed the AS FIRST and then decided to come and talk to us to make a deal. This is backwards and insulting. It also couldn't be prevented. It is my responsibility as CP to listen to everything I am told and consider everything I am offered.

I didn't like the deal, I knew it would explode like a bomb in the media. I could reject it outright and have to build back up from scratch again. Or I could attempt to negotiate details that we could use long term.

Contrary to my detractors (henceforth to be referred to as the Low Council in opposition to their sworn enemies in the High Council), I did seek opinions on the deal. Ultimately though, the CP has to make decisions. I felt pressed for time and I felt that the long term potential benefits outweighed the short term pain. So I authorized the deal.

I take FULL responsibility for that.

And I also stand by what I did. 30k cc might seem insignificant but the dynamic between India and Albania and possible cooperation down the road could have been a real positive. The New World alliances are all changing, morphing. When you make the decisions, you have to keep in mind where you are trying to go and how you will get there.

It is my belief that my plan would have seen India's occupiers go from 5 to 4 by the end of my term and with a little luck, maybe 3. We also would have had Congress.

The Low Council Attacks.

So it is the responsibility of each Indian who has an opinion to express it. After all, if you do not then you are giving whoever you elected leader license to do whatever they wish. That is dangerous and does not favour a strong community.

The Low Council starts out by writing articles to express their outrage (or just plain rage). They need a target for this frustration and as the ultimate figure in charge, I am that target. I accept this. I don't like the tone, the lies and half-truths they decide to include, but it has to come out and that was their decision to do it that way.

After that, if you truly have the interest of India at heart, you should have been proposing alternatives. Do they do this? Perhaps privately amongst themselves but not publicly in the media and never to me. Instead they mount a character assassination campaign that is relentless and predatory. In other words, the exact same thing they have always accused the High Council of doing.

Am I part of the High Council? They must certainly think so.

The thing about such a plan is that you can't sustain the level of animosity and bile that they have unless you have complete and utter contempt for the person you are attacking.

The final nail in the coffin.

Yesterday Albania came to me to state that Croatia was returning Maharashtra to... THEM. Again this is backwards diplomacy where you present your counterpart with a fait accompli and expect them to rubber stamp it.

I reminded the Albanians that we had a deal that was grossly unpopular and that if they wanted to expand it in any way then they would have to come through on their parts first.

They told me they had no choice and that they were proceeding... thereby proving my critics right and sealing my fate.

The Low Council launched their next salvo in the form of an insulting open letter to me. This was happening at the same time as I was updating Congress and the new Party President on everything that was happening.

The contrasts, the crass political ambitions, the lies...

You want grandstanding and entertainment? Read the media. You want the truth? Talk to me personally on IRC.

What India needs next.

What India needs the most at this very moment, Day 2005... more than MPPs... more than a baby boom... is to speak with one voice. It needs a singularity of purpose.

The Low Council could not abide my leadership and so ensured that that voice would not be mine. By undermining my efforts so thoroughly my words become meaningless.

I estimate that since my CP win I donated 90 or so hrs to India. Not bad for a do nothing leader. Half of that time went to building new links for the country and renewing old ones. A good portion went to trying to organize ourselves and finally the rest went to explaining, mitigating, repairing the damage being done in the media... not by our enemies but by our own friends.

It is my responsibility to do what is best for India. And right now you are telling me that what is best is to return India to the real Indians... you know... like Vlad.

I wish all the best to all the councils, High and Low, and hope that they are wildly successful. I want to assure the population that there is in fact a plan in the works. It is good alternative thinking and appropriate for the circumstances we find ourselves in.

There are some amazing people in India, I hope you all maintain hope and remain true to yourselves. India was a perfect fit for me on so many levels but one...

Take care everyone, sorry I could not be the voice you needed.
