Partido Sosyalistang Ganap
Analia Arnheim
Today, Al Raposas again breaks tradition by renaming Revolutionary Socialist Party, one of the oldest active parties in the Philippines, into Partido Sosyalistang Ganap.
"This heralds a new era for Filipinos! We are beginning to reap from our efforts. We are slowly but surely taming foreign domination in our beloved land of the morning. I chose this name because I believe that ever since the dawn of civilization, socialism is present in our history. Sargon of Akkad and the Pharaoh of Egypt both practiced this, and their countries were the best known at their own eras. I also believe that socialism keeps on evolving and adapting, and so this is the result: A New Socialism just for E-Philippines. We are no longer revolutionaries, but a respected institution in Filipino society. Therefore, Partido Sosyalistang Ganap, the real socialists, is the beginning of a New Philippines. Mabuhay ang Pilipinong lumalaban!"

"I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate (the) grave evils (of capitalism), namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals. In such an economy, the means of production are owned by society itself and are utilized in a planned fashion. A planned economy, which adjusts production to the needs of the community, would distribute the work to be done among all those able to work and would guarantee a livelihood to every man, woman, and child. The education of the individual, in addition to promoting his own innate abilities, would attempt to develop in him a sense of responsibility for his fellow-men in place of the glorification of power and success in our present society."

how can you be socialist without being revolutionarist? how can "revolutionary phase" be over before world revolution?
there are many types of socialism. revolutionary socialism is only one type. besides, for so long the socialists had been in the philippines, don't we now have the right to say that we are no more revolutionaries but republicans? notable citizens that have made an impact to the society? if not, why have there been socialist republics in the past?
your argument is invalid and wrong in so many levels. there's only one type of socialism which is the transation phase of communism. if you mean social democracy, it's not a "type" of socialism.
if you wanna call yourself a republican, then leave socialism behind and call yourself republican...
and that's why i am proposing a new socialism. the old "revolutionary" type is obsolete for the modern age. we must keep on evolving to meet up with the rigors of a fast changing world. the new socialists must not revolt anymore, but consolidate on the republic that they have built on.
this is absolute revisionism and must not be tolerated. socialism is not obsolete but salvation. i wonder if you've read any "theoretical" books of communism or socialism. if you did so, unfortunately, you seem you didn't understand any single word from them.
enough with theories. we need practice. i read on how socialism evolved from mesopotamia to russia. i know what i'm saying.
i don't think you do. anyway, remember your pm to me? don't ever think me or any of my comrades will support neither a person nor a group whit these thoughts.

so, you have prooved me wrong with wikipedia. that's cute...
wikipedia has been used in scholarly work. of course it is a valid secondary source.

I thought wikipedia is not a valid source
i guess you really got this in the wrong context. the revolution here in the philippines is over, so the socialists here are no longer revolutionaries. pretty simple. just like the socialists of ussr, or north korea and cuba. are they still revolutionaries whereas socialism already triumphed there?
revolution never ends until the world revolution, so yes, USSR citizens were and Cuba citizens are revolutionarists.
okay then, man. wrong context again. let's just say that the name is for campaigning for complete socialism when the world revolution is done, then stateless communism. is that okay with you?
