Greetings!
Since the creation of the ePalarong Pambansa, I have conceptualized another popular sports association here in the Philippines and bringing it here to eRepublik. This is the Philippine Basketball Association.
What is the Philippine Basketball Association?
The PBA is the most watched basketball league here in the Philippines. It comprises of ten corporate-owned teams battling in three conferences. The first is the Philippine Cup wherein only those with Filipino Citizenship can play. Next is the Commissioner's Cup where teams can hire an import each for help. The same rules are for the Governor's Cup except there would be a height limit for the imports which will be based on the results of the Philippine Cup and Commissioner's Cup.

We shall have two conferences every 3 to 4 months. The Filipino Cup and the Commissioner's Cup. The Filipino Cup will be an all Filipino Players Conference. While in the Commissioner's Cup, we will have reinforcements called imports.
We will start the inaugural season by holding a fantasy draft. In the draft, we will use the current rosters of the PBA. You can take a look at it here. We will have a draft lottery wherein we will use random.org to select the order. So in that way, we will have an even and fair draft order.
After every team had selected we will start a week after the draft. This way, the coaches will have time to form their team's starting line-up and for us to code every player.
The season will be a double round robin and the top four teams will advance to the semi-finals. The number 1 seed will battle the number 4 seed while the number 2 and 3 battle. Both match-ups will be a best of three series. The finals will be played by the winners of each match-up in a best of five series. The losing teams in the semi-finals will play another game for third place.
Now, we can't start the inaugural season without team managers. They will be responsible in drafting, trading, and signing players in their teams. For those who are interested, fill up this form. Deadline of Applications will be on March 31.

* 1st Runner-Up: 2 Gold and 1500cc
* 2nd Runner-Up: 1 Gold and 1000cc
* Most Valuable Player: 1 Gold and 500cc

What site are you gonna use?
It's not actually a site, it is an application. Ask Assistant Commissioner Vincenzo Roque for more information. He's the one handling all the simulating.
There are tons of sites which allow you to have fantasy basketball leagues. ESPN for example.
Vincenzo Roque suggested that to me in the forums, but he had already learned about scorinator that's why I just let him use it.
I think the problem with most sites that have fantasy basketball is that it is based on real life games whose pace is a little too slow for us. With the program, we can have it at a faster pace (like 4 games a day in contrast with the weekly games in the sites)

I am a basketball lover, and I play 4 times a week.
But to say the truth, I haven't understood how is this championship going to work.I just saw the word "basketball" in the title and I voted 😛

It's kind of like fantasy basketball, you pick players to draft on your team. The difference is instead of waiting for the results of the league in real life, we will simulate the season using a program with their existing stats as inputs. The program works similar to the scorinators in NS.
