[YUUVA] CP Primary Nomination Poll - Winner Announced

Day 1,928, 09:40 Published in India Canada by Alias Vision

Today at 9:00 New World time, the poll for Yuuva's selection of a Country President nominee closed. Of the members eligible to cast a ballot at the start of this process, 32.7% chose to do so.

It is not the best participation rate but this was something new and it is a process. As a party we will keep encouraging members to use their voices to move Yuuva forward. IRC activity notwithstanding, in my short time as Party President I have already seen an increase in the engagement of some members. It makes me very hopeful for the future.

The choices on the ballot for Yuuva members where (in alphabetical order):
Alector
DonMogul
Hamturk

None of the above/remain neutral
was also given as a valid choice.

To win, a candidate needed to secure 50%+1 of ballots or more. The round in which this was achieved would indicate the winner.

The nomination contest for the month of March necessitated only one round.

The winner, securing 55.9% of the votes, is current Minister of Foreign Affairs... ALECTOR.

Below is represented the full results of round one.

Congratulations to our nominee and thank you to the other candidates and all those who participated.

On our CP candidate.

Alector is an excellent choice for Yuuva this term. He is a previous two time winner of the Presidential contest, therefore he knows the grind well. He is also multiple time Foreign Affairs Minister, including in the current administration, and that international experience should prove invaluable if he were to successfully get elected.

He also brings a fair measure of gravitas to the proceedings which should inspire all Indians to have confidence in him.

Alector has already published two campaign articles with at least one more to come.

We look forward to reading the rest of his manifesto and being introduced to the team he proposes to move India forward with.

One more time, congratulations Alector and good luck.
