Ignored Articles
USMarine Corps
This isn't gonna be a long article at all, probably quite short... my question is, why do articles get ignored???
If you don't buy votes, it is VERY HARD to get votes for your newspaper. What I think should happen is, eRep should have something so that good articles that don't buy votes get attention. My last article, posted about 24 hours ago, only has twelve votes... The only reason it has that many is that I took the time to message about 20 eRep citizens. If I hadn't sent those messages, this article would only have 4 or 5 votes, those coming from wingfield, Candor, and others who always read my articles... But I know a lot of who I sent messages to would agree my article was pretty good... http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-eusa-government-mus-and-once-again-unitys-paranoia-with-an-input-on-afa-2214435/1/20
So why don't articles like mine get votes and attention? Because we don't buy votes, and there is no way to find articles if you don't. So I'm betting there's a lot of good articles like mine out there, just no one to read them. This is a big problem. You know how people say, keeping writing America? Well, we do but there's no one to see it because we don't spend money on votes. It's that simple. Since I never get to the Top 5, no one finds out about my newspaper. Unless I want to spend a few hours sending messages to eRep citizens. Which is not going to happen. One solution to this problem is when you read a good article, take the one minute of your life to shout it to your friends, party, and MU. Another is for eRep to find some way to get those articles attention. Beside that, there really is no solution. But a few shouts can mean 50 votes, cos plz shout my articles!
Thanks for listening!

SHOUT, VOTE, and SUB to spread the word!

I read pretty much everything.
Hardest thing to do is get read when you're starting out fwiw. Put a few pics in to break up thoughts/word blocks. People read shorter bursts more easily and a mind likes the visuals.
Also, two articles a week is a pretty good rule of thumb. sometimes three maybe. Two days at least between, again as a rule, since articles stay up 48 hours.
Friending people can help (I didn't go that route years ago, but most did/do), since more shouts seen the better.
There's only 300 peeps (about) reading American media atm. Foreign friends will help your media too. No way to get MM's without foreign friends now, imo.
I shout, incessantly.
She does, bizatch is a yeller.
PS: You notice Jon finally got his wish? Banned 🙁
yeah wtf is up with that???
If there was a "mass shouter" award, Bia would have 765 gold right now 😛
She's right though, friend a lot of people, and shout like there's no tomorrow.
Do you know that people on my friends list get upset if I don't shout for them? MAYBE I oughta start charging lmao
Yah, she's got over 1000 friends... lol
Shouting in MU and Party Feeds doesn't hurt either, especially if you're able to switch parties for maximum coverage.
If you write something you're particularly proud of, don't hesitate to submit to ENN Writer of the Week contest. We are constantly watching for good media to include but what is submitted for consideration does factor in the final picks. A little added exposure and a shot at some free money is a good thing.
There are many writers, but so few readers, like in real world. Accept this fact and don't be so sad.
Too true.
Anti Voters Club.
V!
Same, I consider them cheaters. Spending money for votes? Not fair to the rest of us.
Strange to see newspapers with 100 or 200 subscriptions with 400 or 500 votes. Admin should outlaw vote buying.
Couldn't agree more
My articles never get more than 15 or 20 and average 8 to 10 votes...however, I am proud of the few votes I do get for one simple reason...I DID NOT PAY FOR THEM...'nuff said, Ted....
It's definitely tough starting out. Keep at it.
Too true, I've never paid for votes and I probably never will.
Good, I consider that cheating
Buying votes for yourself will get you thrown out of the eAcademy and then you'd never win an eOscar, so even though it is painful at times, stay clean.
In-game ads, on the other hand, were great. I still miss those.
My stuff generally sucks...
