[Summit] New PvP - First Screencap!
Oblige
So, after visiting Bucharest for the summit a few weeks ago I promised a few more articles detailing some of the new changes.
Unfortunately I forgot to distract the test team with a shiny candy while they were talking about the PvP module, and wasn't able to take any screen caps at that time.
However, I am happy to report that the PvP system seems to be enabled on the live server for test purposes, even if it's missing some of the features.
Everything in this article should be regarded as a note on the Beta system, which is likely to change, and may have already changed!
As you can see there are a few basic functions in the PvP module, which you will be offered the chance to enter every few fights.
It is important to note that you don't need to participate in the PvP module if you don't choose. You'll simply be able to ignore it.
As you can see the controls are fairly self expalanatory. You can fight, defend or move, and will be offered the opportunity to use a variety of weapons (not yet visible).
The weapons will offer varying amounts of damage and be more effective at some ranges than others (thus the function of the movement buttons).
At this time the weapons will most likely be available for purchase directly from Plato!, which means no investment is needed for new factories, and the economy will benefit from having a country currency sink.
It's also important to note that PvP battles will be carried out in real time, versus another player! So if no one else is online or participating, you won't be able to PvP.
You will have a little less than thirty seconds to make each "move."
Right now, entering PvP will cost 100 energy.
Now the incentive: this is the part of the module that's most in flux. Originally it was planned to offer normal damage as a reward, perhaps equivalent to 10 food fights or maybe a slight bonuses. However, a few other ideas are under consideration, such as having PvP battles directly impact the number of points one side of a battle has. It should be noted that, to the best of my knowledge, a final decision on this matter hasn't been made.
You will may have the opportunity to "loot" the inventory of players you defeat!
It should also be noted that we still might be awhile away from seeing the PvP system in game!
For my Greek friends, you can read the article McLarenDr put up:

Cool
wow
no high hopes here...
Who needs this crap? : P
Remove manager work and return work skill-s instead.
Also fix the current military module. All what's left is a neverending BH hunt and useless battles one after another. Also it's almost impossible for smaller countries to stay on the map. : P
Sorry for my english...
no.... 🙁
no thnks
FAIL
"....At this time the weapons will most likely be available for purchase directly from Plato!, which means no investment is needed for new factories, and the economy will benefit from having a country currency sink..."
Such a joke. The only reason there was excess currency was due to their buy-bot, which has been out of circulation for months now. There IS no economy in this game and admin taking away even more sales from crappy weapons prices will only further damage this game and the joke of an economy that it has become.
I for one will refuse to give admin any money. I would prefer to give that much needed cash to a player
"....It should also be noted that we still might be awhile away from seeing the PvP system in game!...."
Of course it is. We are still months away from seeing the cosmetic and useless change of the new map that was promised in January. Like i said before, "SOON" to admin meant at least 6 months.
I don't see ANY of these new "improvements" (HAHAHA) being implemented in any way shape or form that is good, let alone beneficial to the players. Their past track record of introducing "improvements" has proven that, and I for one am sure that this will be no different
co to za guwno xd
