1. Mutual Funds
Mutual Funds have been split. You will now have half as many Mutual Funds as you had last week. With this split your Mutual Funds will now be worth more money.
EDIT:
Some want an explanation of the split. A few things, the price went down a little due to Gold dropping, the economy, and so on. The split was due to wanting only serious investors to be able to buy into the Mutual Funds. In order to buy 1 mutual fund with Gold = $1086 you are spending 1.53 Gold. This is a serious investment and I want Mutual Funds to be an investment to be for serious investors.
Price: $1658
Interest: 5%

First.
cool
The reverse split wasn't a true split either...previously MFs were valued at $887 so in order for investors not to lose $, wouldn't the new price have to be double that for 1/2 the units? $1658 isn't double $887.
Nathan, 5% of a 10000 USD investment is the same as 5% of a 10000 investment, whether you call it 5 shares (2000USD each) or 10 shares (1000USD each). The split or reverse split doesn't affect the interest rates.
*share values are for example only*
A bit more transparency pls. What happened to the share graphs? You can still apply it. Divide the old ones by two.
You didn't really explain that the price of mutual funds went down.
This seems just like a ruse to hide that the price was going down.
Last week didn't go good?
Man,not cool at all.
First, you have to tell us why you did it.
Second, last week you mention something that explained the drop in value. This week nothing.I now that MF can rise or fall, but we need some transparency.
Third,I personaly find this reverse split unfair.I had enough MFs to buy a new set and still have profit just from the intrest. Now I can't.
I sold every means of production just to buy MFs over the price, because of the limit, and now you do this.
Not cool at all, in my opinion

i shiggy diggy
Plus, you barely sold all the last week MFs, and were 250. Now you are actualy selling 400 (200X2). Why do you think demand will be almoust double this week?
It gives those that want to invest much greater numbers a better chance to do so. And I assume the price would fall slightly because of the torn up economy. Its a shock that it didnt happen last week though.
EDIT made to answer some questions from above.
The reverse split didn't happen because of increasing demand. Now, only serious investors will get into the Funds rather than anyone. Instead of going to 415, and us getting 2X our stock (which would have attracted more investors), it went the other way. Doubling in price but halving the number of shares.

This is normally done to a stock with a low price to attract investors. Since the Mutual Funds were doing very well, I can only assume that WFG didn't want anyone and their mother being able to buy the Funds anymore.

So what happens to people with odd # of shares?
round it up to the next share, so they get lucky 🙂
Smells like the ERX all over again; best investment is in your own WRM companies.
Out of all the comments... most are just asked upon ignorance (not suppose to be an insult, its just not everyone understands finance or simple math completely). However, Rares has the most valued comment of any... the issuance of 200 is a bit steep seeing that it was a 1 for 2 split. So technically it REALLY IS 400 MFs issued... I highly doubt they will all sell but I like the eagerness and optomistic outlook 😃
