Why Should You Care?

gday Australia!

The Parties that support my Candidacy thus far. Thank You!

My previous article was an introduction towards my campaign, a way for people to know who I am. The next two articles are the ideas and details which I promised, along with those who I have chosen to enter my Cabinet and Government for this month. This Cabinet is a balance of many traits: old faces, older players but new to Cabinet, young players and first timers. I did what I could to make certain this Cabinet would be this way as we always need new blood.

For those who question why I have not listed Deputies, I have chosen to allow my Ministers the opportunity to select their own. If I can’t trust them to manage their own Departments, then how can I trust them to work for the betterment of Australia?

DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE:

Would it be improper to ask why some Aussies are obsessed with Islamic finance?

Paul J Keating has been the previous Minister of Finance for the past few months. During his tenure, our finances have been well organized, allowing the Government’s money supply to continue to be active and accessible. It is why I have decided to invite him back to the Cabinet.

To have individuals who can be selected as Finance Ministers are valuable to the nation. While I see no reason to reform here, that does not mean we should not try to train future Ministers. So I would like to begin for this month a training regimen for players who might be interested in becoming a future Finance Minister. It would not be good to burn out Paul J Keating and lose a good player in him.

DEPARTMENT OF SECURITY:

Sheraz Ahmad is the current Security Minister and has accepted the invitation to rejoin the Cabinet. He has been an active member of the Security Department, making certain that the immigrants selected will benefit the nation instead of inflicting harm.

The more specific reform I would like to initiate here is to increase the attractiveness of Australia to potential immigrants. Plans to make this happen are still in the preliminary stages, but it is something I wish to do if I am elected as Prime Minister.

DEPARTMENTS OF EDUCATION & INFORMATION

The most important portion of this article is the plans for Education and Information, which will be working together to create an environment that encourages others to work towards bringing new citizens into the game.

Roboa and Rayyyzor are my choices to perform these important positions. Roboa is the current Minister of Education, working diligently to make sure our babies know how to play to game through the New Player Guide and other efforts. Rayyyzor is the first new public servant and first Cabinet member selected, being given an opportunity to do well through the Information Department.

We can only wish.

I’ve always been of the opinion that Education is one of the more important elements of a nation as nearly everyone who joins are completely unfamiliar with the game. To newbs, this game can be considered hostile playing by themselves as so many unfortunately choose to do. eRepublik is not meant to be played isolated, but with your fellow citizens while working towards personal and national goals. We as human beings need to feel like we belong.

To that end, we’ll be altering slightly how we connect with new and existing players. It's necessary that such efforts occur from bottom-up as well as top-down. Both working as one are very effective in improving player retention. To do so, the Education and Information Departments would encourage more people to give things to new players to improve our personal bonds; if enough people do this, then national unity will increase.

But a more important concern is the increase of population of many of our neighbours. To understand what I am speaking of, here is a list of examples:

Chile
Colombia
Peru

This information is very troubling as these nations are very close by, especially Peru as a neighbor. It has now become a requirement that we adapt to the changing region so we can stay ahead and continue to be an important player within the region. To do this, we must start actively and consistently advertise the game through every channel possible. Facebook, Twitter, Media both Established and Internet-based, EVERYWHERE!

Volunteers are required, people willing to put the necessary effort to make this occur. Anyone willing to do this will have the unconditional support and assistance of the Government Honestly, this is something I do not expect to take place immediately. It’s something that has to be done long-term and consistently to gain anything at all from this.

I will continue with the next part when it is completed. If you have questions, please ask in the comments section. Thank you for reading.
