Challenge Accepted

Day 1,656, 22:31 Published in Canada Canada by Nosyt

Typically when it comes to games, I relish a challenge. If there is a difficulty option available, I usually set them as high as possible, even if it means losing over and over until I get good enough. I believe it was Ayeshan Dakseus who challenged me to turn ~hyuu~ into an erep meme, most of you see how far I’ve come with that. So with that in mind, keep in mind that what I’ve done is probably somewhat a tad silly, but I have my reasons.

If I were playing a typical video game, I’d consider this election to be between easy and a moderate level. Nicholas Boyce has informed me that I managed to win EPIC’s primary (no surprise, but I’m thankful nevertheless), so with that I’m on the ballot. But the truth is EPIC today is similar to the DAL of yesterday; being that the party carries much influence with the two clicking masses of eCanada. My father once told me that our riding would send a Donkey to Parliament if he ran with the Liberals, and I can’t help but feel that there’s a parallel between my MP and eCanada’s CP, but I'd like to believe that isn't true.

I don’t want to win that way, I'd much rather earn the position, not have it served to me on a silver platter. Now perhaps I’m over-estimating the influence of the EPIC brand, and it’s possible that this hubris will be my downfall, but like I mentioned, I need a challenge, and if it costs me the election I can live with that. So here’s where the stupidity comes into play, and I give myself a real challenge.

Under the current scenario, I’ve made getting onto the ballot itself an interesting task. First by creating a lulz party for myself to run under

But that’s not enough, as there are only 5 candidates allowed on the ballot, and this party needs 5 more members in order to be large enough to secure my own candidacy. With less than two hours before the candidates become locked in, this means I’ll need to put on quite the recruitment campaign. Even if I do manage to get on the ballot, I’d be running without the official support of any established party. I’d say it’s fair to assume that my easy-moderate level just went up to very difficult. Should I fail I deeply apologize to all those who supported me, and I hope you understand, but as the article title says:
