Department of Citizen Affairs
How did it feel being the new kid on the block? No one to talk to and show you what you needed to do to fit in and play with the other kids? Did it take you a while to get the hang of things?
Well, the eUSA Department of Education is committed to being there for new players and helping them get plugged in, but we need your help! Right now we are currently looking for a few more dedicated citizens to join the DoE as deputies. Duties may include: Writing new player help articles; updating DoE documents; running events to get new players active; partnering one-on-one with new players to get them situated; and much more!
If you are interested, please contact the Director of the DoE, Dennis McVicker. We hope to hear from you soon!

Recap of the contest rules:
Each week the Department of Education will be holding a contest for articles written by players that provide information on the game that are useful to new citizens. The contest will start every Thursday, and will end the following Wednesday. To participate simply write an article covering one of the following categories:
Media
Business/Resource Management
Fighting/Damage Management
Politics
IRC/Forums/Social Aspects of the Game
Game Mechanics
eUS/World History
To be eligible for the contest the article must be written in the eUS, include a link to this paper, and you must contact Dennis McVicker with a link to your article.
Participants may write as many articles for the contest as they wish, and are eligible to win in multiple categories. (This contest is currently funded privately and will continue for as long as there is an interest in it.) So start writing, have fun, and help new players.
Since the contest is still fairly new, we will be looking at all articles that fit these categories for the next couple of weeks until people are aware of the contest.
Please Help DoE by Subscribing, Voting, and Shouting this article.

Does the DoE have a tool for finding newbies or is it all write ins?
Long time back I used my few companies to hunt new players as they filtered into the 0-skill workers ranks. After that got taken off the table I was kinda dead in the water and all the old stuff I have on file is dead.
DoI has access to a database of new players. I want to check it out myself, but I have been busy trying to get things off the ground here first.
