[MDP] Changing of the Guard

I'm selecting Connor Macleod as MDPs Dictator for the month of May. I find him to be a active stand up guy who can lead the party forward. He can see it as the runner up prize to losing the CP elections lol.

One of my main goals as stated upon my return was to identify new leadership for the MDP moving forward. I believe I have found the right candidate for the job.

In Sperry's article Canada talks: How have we changed I noticed a few questions/statements from the membership that I will address on my way out as an update.

"Getting more quality members"

Was mostly addressed the last congressional election as we found a few diffrent candidates to put in congress. We also re-added some members who had left during the Sasha regime.

"Breeding new leadership"

In my return article I stated I would actively look to groom new leadership for the next time I turned traitor. There were a few others who got consideration but I decided it was time for some new blood to take the reins choosing connor Macleod.

I expect him to continue the tradition of looking for future leaders for the party and congress.



"getting everyone more involved."

I consider this as mostly a failure on my part because I didn't do much besides work with my congressional team. No articles or new programs. Just a term of getting things back on track.

Not everyone wants to be more involved. I do try to ask more members if they wish to do more. But sometimes just getting there membership and voting along party lines is the most you can hope for.

I like the new addition of the party feed in game. I suggest all membership to check the feed for updates and various other programs offered through party or the govt.

This term I righted the ship and had a decent congressional party showing, all i was aiming for. Which was accomplished.

"More Honesty"

We don't lie to our party members we just tell them how its going to be.

When you join the MDP your putting your faith into the party leadership of making the right calls and decisions. If you don't like the party decisions you can choose to be a member of a diffrent party.

Do not mistaken my way of answering the question that we take your membership for granted. We consider each a valuable member.

Anyone ever looking for a shot at more activity and govt has only to shoot a pm to MDP leadership or leave a post on the party feed for consideration. Forum membership is required.

Its the first step to becoming an evil Dictator.



For this months term I had MDPs 10 congressmen vote as a block on numerous congressional bills.

First selecting Homer J Simpson as speaker
Second electing Wombatman as a Judge
Third electing myself as a judge
Fourth approving the use of govt gold for citizen training facilities

I was mostly impressed with the MDP turnout to vote. I would run each again.
