On the Nemesis quarrel – a Romanian perspective.
tzopaila
First of all, I want to assure you that i'm not speaking in anyone's behalf but my own. As a concerned Romanian citizen i've decided to write this message although i had no direct or indirect contact with the Brazilian community until now. Although i am not familiarized with the problems Nemesis is causing in Brazil i understand it is your right to decide who you welcome and accept in your e-society.
I know brazilians were very welcoming towards us and gave a lot of citizenships to Romanians who wanted to emigrate (mainly for bigger bonuses). It is of course your right to take back that favor if you think your trust has been misplaced. Secondly, i am 100% behind the idea that allies respect their decisions so it's not the Romanian community job to question or doubt your decisions.
This being said let me offer some insight about what really happened in Romania since the election of Tudor Soim. This way, i think you'll be able to judge better the conduit of the Romanian community.
1. I am a party member (it's the only party i supported since my e-birth), and my party backed Tudor Soim for president. I didn't vote for him, because i was under impressed by his credentials and experience in the game. But i can vouch that he was elected not because he was a member of Nemesis, but because he was the leader of his party. Everyone in this game has multiple layers of identity (ethnicity, political orientations or military allegiance). It would be a fallacy to invoke one layer of identity when it was clearly other at work when he got elected. Besides that, back then the bulk of the Romanian community wasn't aware with your frictions with the Nemesis. So, his voting is not an approval vote Nemesis received, far from it.
2. His inability to resolve the Brasilian-Romanian problem played a big part in the impeachment (although he released a statement condemning Nemesis and offering his resignation from that M.U) . There were other reasons, of course, but this issue was quite central in the debate. The Romanian community does not want to lose the friendship of eBrazil .
3. Conditioning the signing of the MPP by Nemesis compliance with your requests is erroneous because Romania doesn’t actually have the means to force Nemesis into compliance. If it would i no doubt Romania would use its leverage. We can only negotiate with them and incentivize them. And although i am not an insider in matters of state, i am sure the Romanian Government tries hard to make them more responsive.
4. I sincerely think there is no conflict between our two communities. There is a minor problem caused by individuals who are not backed, supported nor their actions approved by the Romanian community.
Hoping that this will soon be water under the bridge i salute you as brothers and hope our relationship will be normalized as soon as possible.
With sympathy,
Ion Vlahu – a Romanian soldier

ce atat Brazilia in sus, Brazilia in jos bla bla bla
De asta ne calca toti in picioare.
Salut initiativa!

astept putina asezare in pagina si niste paragrade inainte de a citi (:
Before we start, a short disclaimer: This article is just a guest post and it was written by me, tzopaila only accepted to publish it in his newspaper. The views expressed in it are entirely my own. Please forgive its incoherence and lack of structure, the reason is that it was meant as a comment at the article published two days ago by the eBrazilian Mofa regarding Brazil's relationship with Romania. But i thought it deserved more visibility and it could be an opportunity for a dialogue between simple brazilians and romanians.

I think politeness requires me to answer in english, since we are conducting our dialogue in foreign media. What i can assure you is that your sense of pride and vanity cannot surpass my humbleness and humility. So, in more ways than one i can agree with your assertion, although i don't agree with your conclusion. But we can of course agree to disagree. 🙂
Great article. Wierd no Brasilians comments.
Thanks for the edit : ))

Maybe. But it's Brazil's time to bitching, as Argentina, Turkey, Bulgaria, Russia, Serbia and so on.
Meu prazer é lutar contra a Romênia.
Oleude
It is your right to do it. But since you are commenting on this post i think it would be polite if you would answer in english. Beyond that, do you feel that your statement is really bringing a positive contribution to the discussion? Feel free to do what you want, mate, but your conduct says more about you than anything else.

My article was a invitation to mature, honest and positive dialogue. Do you think it's polite to write me in portuguese, a language i don't understand? If you would read the comments you would see that i answered a romanian in english because i think it's fair to speak for everyone to understand me.
But i ask you, Mr. Oliveira, why are you my enemy, when i want to be your friend?
Por que eu sou seu inimigo?
Nemesis é romena

Maturity is the key word in this mess.

Vlahu,
We´ve been trying to have an honest and positive dialogue for almost one year. I was against to not renew MPP with Romania with I allways consider a very good ally. The fact is however, that with the support of the country or not, one of the largest if not the largest Romania MU, is trying to PTO an ally country. This is for a fact, and its also important to say that this will effect not only Brasil and Romania, but you will soon see another countries not renewing MPP with you. Trade embargo, has zero effect in today game mechanism, but its another symbol of our protest. Unfortunattely, now I can not see anymore how could we come back to old times since today things worsene😛

If we were enemy before, I would completely understanding the PTO. It would be fun, but for an ally is a big betrayal. This stuff will not end here since Nemesis will not leave Brasil. But Im afraid it will have more impact on Romania allies.
Regards,
In fact Nemesis is one of the smallest romanian MU....
@resita2009, cai dentro Mané!
Brasil go **** yourself and pray for mercy because you'll lose the help from EDEN verry soon

Marco Antonio Oliveira,
Those guys you just mentioned are probably - beyond being romanian - brown eyed, black haired, fathers of daughters, soccer fans and pasta lovers. Are you going to hate every brown eyed guy out there? If not, why should you fight all romanians because they happen to be romanian. If they did something wrong - and if they did i'm the first one to agree with you - fight against them, hate them, take action against them. But fighting for Hungary will bring a prejudice to me, who i am not your enemy and i don't intend to be.
Greywacke,
Thx for your comment. Of course i agree with you. We both have to think - and especially our governments - which tools to employ for resolving the problems. Ethnic boundaries are surely not the answer.
Brasilian Dawg,
I completely support your position and i understand that PTO-ing an ally is anathema. But there is another perspective i want you to look upon. You said Romania is a good ally and Brazil's problem resides in actions of some romanians. If Romania's government doesn't support the actions of some romanian individuals why is Romania the object of retribution. In reality the perpetrators are left alone, they suffer no consequences, but the romanian state get's a hot potato in its lap. Somehow, from my point of view something doesn't add up. Although i understand that your actions was probably a good wake up call. But i don't know if more can be achieved considering - and i repeat - neither one of us have methods of constraining the people guilty for creating these tensions.
Thank you all for your replies.
@Marco Antonio Oliveira
and the problem that I am Romanian is? and by the way you forgotten about 30 romanians o/
Ion, im whith you!
My respect for eRomania.
dfgusmao,
I am wondering the same team. Maybe some Nemesis members will read this thread and answer us.
