A call for Patton to leave Ireland. We don't want Mercenaries selling troops to the highest bidder, in this case the US.
Suspended
"Yeah but look at all the gold they got from those embassy . Damn Europeans suck in eLife too. Always tryign to keep the USA down" - Patton (1)
In case Patton's grasp of Geography is as tenuous as some of his fellow American's I would respectfully point out that Ireland is a part of Europe, and, as such, we find these remarks disparaging and insulting.
Patton is also the man behind another eRepublik entity - The Third Army (2). This is a mercenary army available for hire, for Gold. This army is currently contracted to the US in their blatant and unwarranted aggression against Canada. It is unbecoming of any Irish Politician to run and benefit from such an entity. As leader of Fianna Fáil he simply cannot be involved in such activities. We do not want a mercenary warlord, whose morality is Governed by nothing more than 30 pieces of silver, living in our country, running a political party in our country, or challenging for the office of Taoiseach.
Nations of Europe have rallied to the Canadian cause, our Allies in the UK are considering their relationship with the US, yet the 2nd most powerful Politician in Ireland is selling them a Mercenary Army for his personal enrichment. I will no longer stand by and tolerate this, it damages our nation in the eyes of the world.
It seems to me that Patton's sympathies lie with the US and not with Ireland, and that he is simply using eIreland as vessel to further his other in game aims.
I call for Patton to leave eIreland before he does any more harm to our international image.

Why you don\'t leave eIreland if you think your image will be harmt by Patton?
Intelligent input.....next
Yeah, Irish people should leave Ireland cause it belongs to patton. Good show Hannesz.
BTW: I think we should change our Ministry of Defence as the current one is actively involved in a conflict we are not involved militarily i plus he is supporting a side that was condemned by the country president.
I don\'t believe I want the government, much less Inqui, speaking for who we should support in this conflict. The point remains that the U.S. was a MPP ally of Ireland and Canada was not. Patton\'s actions not only would offer gold to Irish citizens to bring back home into our struggling, young economy, but would give young soldiers the opportunity for experience to better defend their own home land.
But of course, you, Inqui, have to spin everything in a \"worst-case scenario\" light when it comes to people who you don\'t like. I\'m just surprised it took you this long to demand Patton leaves. Truly, your blind ignorance and pent-up loathing manifests itself in your articles and I pity you, friend, to live life so seriously and so angrily as you.
I support Patton and hope Inqui takes the time to have a few cookies and calm down sometime this year.
lolwutpear: and you seem to applaud everything what patton says. regardless the topic.
Also I believe our government already condemned USA aggression against Canada. Patton will use any opportunity to fill his pockets regardless of the good of the state.
Your blowing everything out of proportion, nobody gives a damn who runs the third army.
The people of Ireland do, as I am sure do the people of Canada, Spain etc
It\'s a clear conflict of interest to have one person in charge of the ISDF and their own private army - patton acts as a Government representative in his ISDF role and as such the line is blurred between his personal and Governmental actions.
If we allow him to stay in charge of the Irish army while he\'s also in charge of a merc. army then we are sending out signals internationally that we support what his merc. army does and perhaps even that they are one and the same.
ImaNewbie- I have to point out that you are constantly against everything that patton has to say, as well as everything fun. There is no empirical evidence to suggest we should not whore out irish troops to the US of A
A call to leave Ireland ? Are you serious ? Yall people humor me greatly. Your bitterness and hatred is so pathetic and at the same time hilarious. I WILL NOT LEAVE IRELAND. I have done more for Ireland then any one person in its history
I believe it\'s time you made your loyalties clear then. Do you stand by what you said about Europeans? Are you going to let your RL nationality cloud your judgement on what is right for eIreland? Do you think it\'s right for you to be in charge of the ISDF while running your own private army too?
Patton, you have done nothing for Ireland, you are a fool with his fingers in too many pies to be involved in Politics. Go run your mercenary army, and go back to the US where you belong.
I don\'t hate you, I find your immature whitterings and foolish acts quite amusing, but you cannot be a leading politician in Ireland while running a private army, no more than anyone can in the real world.
Go Patton!!! DONT LEAVE IRELAND!!!! you are a great military guy and politics...
Inquitus, have you done something forireland?
Said by someone living in the USA, who has worked less than 12days..............surprising that, yawn.
Tell me HAVE YOU DONE SOMETHING FOR IRELAND?
I gave everyone in Ireland a CAPS Key and taught them how to use it.
Nice.... well done...
Congratulation..
But you are nothing to talk that way to patton...... LEAVE IRELAND... KIDDING UH
I have every right to talk to him like that, he has betrayed our trust by raising a mercenary army and sending it to fight Canada while being an irish Politician and defense minister. We don\'t want him or his sycophants here any more. This is Ireland not the USA.
Ummm. thanks..
See ya
Look, irrespective of who\'s where, the idea that a politician in high office in ANY country (including commanding the defence forces!) is running a mercenary army \"on the side\" clearly has a glaring conflict of interest here.
Look, as far as I\'m concerned, if you want to be a warlord, patton, go right ahead. However, I\'m damned if I\'m going to agree or pretend to be happy with you doing it while in political office in Ireland (and in particular, the leader of Ireland\'s armed forces). Seriously, do you have such little regard for the citizens of eIreland that you openly disrespect our sovereignty and neutrality like this, or are you in the process of divesting yourself of one or other of these roles in the *immediate* future?
Ahhh. internal strife lol. Guys I thing you are taking ths a tad to seriously. The US is our ally not Canada. We Irish need to grow a backbone and defend our allies rather then join the international bandwagon agiasnt them.
Also IOPS_Conn has raised a pertinent point. In Ireland\'s gradual shift to despotic communism they are now causing political rivals to leave the country. Hmmm who is next ?
We have a Mutual PROTECTION Pact with the USA. They are the aggressors and we hold no obligation to defend them while they fight on Canadian soil. The only reason patton and his cronies want to help the USA is because they are americans. And please patton have you even read what I have posted on the forums?
Diplomatic.

All I can say is \" Awesome \"
I fail to see how the length of time we have been playing this game enters into the equation, but I never did understand your epic phail arguments.
Anywho, none of you can argue this point as it is a fact. Patton, in his position as Ireland\'s Defense Minister and running a mercenary army is clearly in a conflict of interest. Ireland\'s government decided not to support the US in her war against Canada (we\'re also not obligated to, Mutual PROTECTION Pact. The US is the aggressor, the treaty does not apply) and patton is required to support that position. Even if he disagrees with it. He can of course do the honorable thing and resign, then there would be no conflict of interest, and the problem would be resolved. However, I doubt patton is willing to relinquish any power he has, as he strikes me as a power-hungry wanna-be tyrant. Rather like GWB when he doesn\'t get what he wants.
PS Sorry for the wall of text, I\'ll try to refrain next time I demolish your arguments.
Eragon I already resigned before you wrote your ill-informed text.
